In this video I used the Sodafloat at Townsend Fisheries and I caught plenty of F1's. It was a great day fishing with the sodafloat and the bites we're coming thick and fast, with many fish landed. It was a very pleasant and action packed session at one of my favourite venues and I'll definitely return and I'll make sure I have my sodafloat in my tackle bag again, as it was definitely the winning tactic on the day. If you've never used the sodafloat before, then I would definitely recommend that you give it a go. It's a gadget that's designed and distributed by PeeJay Tackle and it's certainly a innovative item of kit. Give it a try on your local venue and I guarantee that you won't be disappointed - it's definitely a winner!!!

Lee great video i agree 100% the sodafloats are absolutely awesome i have had carp to 25LB fishing the sodafloats. It's deadly and in my opinion it's 1 of the most underrated products in angling i have won lots of matches using the sodafloats best weight so far is 275 LB of carp in 5 hours. It's so dam good there's nothing like it people think it's a gimmick and clearly it's not .Paul of peejaytackle is a really wonderful person he invented the sodafloat what a genius he is to think of such a fantastic concept. The build quality of the sodafloat is top class what amazed me was how sensitive the sodafloat is people think it's just a surface float wrong you can fish it on the bottom no problem the accuracy it delivers the bait is second to none it's incredible i have the full set one in each colour there fantastic can't recommend them enough best piece of kit I've ever bought for fishing and they cast like a dream great video Lee really enjoyed it and both me and you both know the sodafloat iis no gimmick it works perfectly for those who know how to use it properly, keep going with the sodafloats Lee there a game changer.

Hi, thank you for your brilliant comment! Sorry for my delayed reply but I’ve only just returned home from Spain! Yes I agree, the Sodafloat is a game changer. I’ve only used them a couple of times but I’ve done quite well so far, although I am still learning how to use them. Paul at PeeJay Tackle is a top man - I only owned the black topped sodafloat but after sending him this video and a written review, he very kindly sent me the 2 other colours as a gift which I was extremely grateful for. This just shows what a good guy he is! Hopefully I can repay him by spreading the word a little with more videos. I’m very surprised that another more well known company hasn’t tried to copy Paul’s design as it really is a phenomenal bit of kit. I remember years ago we used spods, fixed helicopter style with a hooklength, a size 10 hook and a whittled down pop up and we caught may carp doing that. But we overfed quickly because of the amount you introduced with a spod and it seemed to draw the fish to the bottom as well as the inconvenience of spilling bait on the cast. But with the sodafloat you don’t have any of these issues and it’s so much easier to use. It casts like a dream, you don’t spill bait on the cast and you can put anything in it in small amounts, which is ideal. It’s just a great bit of kit. All the best to you and thank you for watching my video! Merry Christmas and Tight lines for 2023 and please subscribe if you haven’t already! All the best 🙏🎣

Hi Lee is that the tfgear 10ft compact float rod if so I have that rod and it’s deffo my fave go to rod. Does everything from small to very big fish. Matt hates caught a 37.6 lb carp on one of his videos. Anyway great vid mate love those F1s I was at whiteacres Cornwall in November catching loads of them on Jenny’s lake.

Hi Barry, no it’s the TF gear compact all rounder rod - basically 4 rods in 1 with 3 quiver tips and a 2ft extension as well as the float top section. I do wish I had have got myself the compact float rod well as the all rounder when I bought it as it is a little stiff in the tip so you tend to bounce a lot of smaller fish off when using barbless hooks. But the stiffer tip can work to your advantage for the soda float as it helps with casting a heavier float. Thank you for your comment and kind words, I’m glad that you enjoyed the video. That sounds great, I’ve never been there but would love to fish it. F1’s are great fun aren’t they 💪🏻🎣

Thanks for watching, I’m glad you enjoyed it! The pleasure pools at Townsend pretty much all have the same kind of stock in them these days. Not as many carp as there used to be but still quite a few. Mainly F1’s in most of the pleasure pools with a load of roach and Rudd. Skimmers too as well as the odd small barbel. Some very nice Perch in some of the pools too. The carp are still there but because of the high number of F1’s I always find it difficult to get through to them and only find that I catch carp by luck rather than judgement unless I go out stalking them or sitting it out with bigger hook baits. I’ve always done well with pellet, fishy pellets I’ve found better than the sweeter, fruity ones. Same with ground bait, a nice fishy groundbait has always been my preferred choice here. But both work well on their day. Hope this helps 👍🏻🎣
