Using The FREE Baby Lock Design Database Transfer Software

Whether you are using a Baby Lock embroidery machine or another brand of embroidery machine you will find the Design Database Transfer Software helpful in managing your designs. The program allows you to view the designs and easily organize them into folders. You can copy and paste designs to a USB drive or other compatible devices. You are a rock STAR... NO ONE has the wireless video. You offer exactly what I was looking for. I didn't want to connect my machine to a computer with a wire!!!

This was helpful… Another question..I thought there was a program, from babylock, that I could create an embroidery design, more specifically, to use embroidery files that I’ve purchased. For example, I’ve purchase an embroidery alphabet, and I want to create a name with that alphabet on my computer. I find it very cumbersome to creat on my machine. Is there such a program thru babylock? Thanks so much for your help! 🙂

You would need to move your design library from your old computer to your new computer.

Where can I find this software? I cannot locate it on the Babylock website. Bought a machine for this feature. Not happy!

Baby Lock has recently been updating their website so some items may have moved. Please click the link below this will take you to the Baby Lock Software Updates page. You will see numerous Palette updates followed by the Pro-Stitcher update. Continue to scroll down the page the next one will be the Design Database Transfer Software. When you click the “GET UPDATES” under DESIGN DATABASE TRANSFER it will download the Design Database Transfer Software and Instructions to your downloads folder or wherever you have your downloads directed in a Zip file. babylock.com/software-support-and-downloads

Yes, you are correct the Design Database Transfer program is made for Windows based computers only. We will let the design team at Baby Lock know that you have an interest for a Mac version. Thank you for your suggestion.

The Baby Lock Design Database Transfer comes with approximately 20 designs. These are included to help you get started using the software.

The 20 free embroidery files that are include are there to help you get started organizing your embroidery design files. There are not any additional embroidery designs to purchase thru this software program. This program is for organizing your embroidery designs files that you have. You can organize your embroidery design library by creating new folders, moving and coping files to different folders, changing file name, or deleting files. Will they be adding a Mac version? I purchased some designs and now I can't upload them to my machine. Is the wireless capability unusable for people with a Mac?

The Baby Lock Design Database Transfer is only available for Windows based computers- 8.1, 10 (32 or 64 bit). If you are using a Mac computer you can copy the design from your computer onto a USB drive. You can then install the USB drive into your embroidery machine and retrieve the designs from the USB. Please refer to your owners manual for detailed instructions.
