A tip for anyone who wants to use wax resist on their ceramics is that once you are done using the wax, immediately wash off the paintbrush in hot water because if you don't, the wax will get stuck on the brush and it will be very hard to clean off

Molly I'm going to order once I get my paycheck! I did a small pottery class in high school and I totally appreciate your work!

Just curious (and I apologize if you’ve already answered this question-I’m new here) but why don’t you glaze it white first and then pain the design on? Your pots are so cute!! ❤

Love that spotted white glaze

The spots are actually coming from the clay! It looks like the same clay I use. It's so cool, the spots become visible only during the second, hotter firing, and come right through many glazes, creating a freckled look.

I have seen you use liquid latex and the wax resistant. Is either one better? Or only one is good for certain situation

Fairly certain you can leave the wax on when it’s fired as it will just melt whereas you’d have to remove liquid latex

Why not do the daisies second? Wouldn't it be easier? Serious question.

I think it’s the look of the messy outline of the daisies that it leaves with the original clay/glaze color. It’s for look, not efficiency.

So she's dunking it in glaze, which runs when fired. The daisies are painted in underglaze. If she painted the daisies on top, they wouldn't remain sharp or crisp due to the glaze underneath it running, the edges would feather out! I do a lot of pottery and I'm still struggling with glazing because of this lol

What brand wax resist do you prefer? I think someone asked but could latex resist be used as well? I never have much luck with wax
