This video discusses a viable strategy for the beginner to use at the end of a close '01 game. I say beginner, because normally a more experienced player should be able to execute hitting a single to set up their favorite double. But sometimes sh*t happens! This is another way to approach that must-hit shot, to ensure you get darts at your double before your opponent takes their shot!
This theory involves using wedges on the dartboard. A wedge is where 2 or more odd or even numbers are next to each other on the board, which gives you a larger target to aim for. If your dart strays from the intended target a little, the wedge should give you that little extra space you may need when shooting that pressure dart!
Sometimes, it doesn't matter what double you are shooting at, as long as you get a shot at a double before your opponent!
