When Spring arrives, it's the perfect time to do some stress-free fishing from shore. Today we are using the T-Turn Bait Rig #1A and targeting Bullhead catfish using small leaf worms, and we also catch a few other incidentals as well - one of which was a nice surprise! Ive Always preffered red wigglers over night crawlers but everyone else seems to only use night crawlers lol

Another good bait for bullhead is raw shrimp, using a similar Carolina-type rig and let it sit on the bottom...shrimp is somewhat less messy than worms and stays on the hook well, gives off lots of scent so once you get one bullhead with shrimp, you'll usually draw in others. Any sort of live bait or cut bait on the bottom Carolina rigged will catch you almost anything swimming around in there. Many bullhead I've caught have completely swallowed my hook, just something to expect every now and again.

@@wrath231 Yeah chicken livers are a solid option...messier than shrimp but a top catfish/bullhead bait for sure.

Pieces of cutbait work really well for me, and i get bowfin as a bonus sometimes. I have a shellfish allergy so shrimp isnt easy for me to use. I save that for the big channel catfish.
