I think its wild how some people with feed (chickens, goats pigs etx) have a mice problem. Im straight up in the woods and in 2 years aint never seen a single mouse. I have chickens, a pig... dogs... and just recently got 2 kittens. Lol! Im just gonna say im blessed not to have that problem. My cat loved to hunt mice.... funny thing, she killed a few but once one got away we never had another mouse in those houses.

A chicken will pounce on a mouse and gobble it up but a cat will play with a mouse until it gets away. that's why chickens are better mousers than cats.

I think a lot of people don't know that most cats have to be taught to hunt mice (some cats with more wild blood figure out on their own). In the wild, their mother will do it but a lot of mother cats born in captivity don't know how themselves. It's pretty easy to do if you actually want a mouser but I think most people don't actually care if their cat will kill a mouse or not.

Besides using cats or the chickens themselves to hunt mice, wild snakes can also be relied on. They can chase mice into burrows and other small spaces.

Chickens are surprisingly really vicious when it comes to catching mice.

My cat does the same thing when she finds a mouse in the house. She catches it and picks it up, then lets it go and chases it again.

Had some mousers in one of the houses i lived in down in the country side of everything, they worked incredibly well at keeping mice out of the house, though they could get past if they were lucky, we had some cats inside too just in case, and the cats decided wether they wanted in or out, some just preferred to be out

Our barn cats killed all the mice and from then on it was nothing but dead shrews/moles everywhere. Cats won’t eat them but they’ll stay up all night hunting anything that moves.

I recommend a jack russel if you want a great animal for pest control, cats tend to play with pray jack russels are the most horrendously unmerciful creatures when it comes to killing.

My cat toys with them for weeks till they start to bore him and just eats them, last time he showed us the mice he killed he ate half of it and gave the still breathing half to my mother, bad choice to say the least

One of my mom's pet cats rescued a mouse and would protect him from the other cat, lol. But it's still cute to see a cat actually being a cat and catching mice! The mouse is cute too, but unfortunately had to be a mouse in your area, XD

Cats can torture these mice for hours or leave them behind with a deadly wound to suffer. It’s not the cats fault but there definitely is a more humane way to kill mice, or just don’t kill them its not like they’re going to harm you if they’re outside

My Cats don’t get them my Pitbulls do! My cats just chill bc they know the Pitties will get all the rats and mice!!!! The Labs handle the big business! We have a unique set up! Our yellow lab and our pit/boxer had babies and we kept two of them! So Mama killes all the rodents and birds and then Daddy and babies provide security! We live in Baltimore City MD so we need to have as much security as we can get!!!!!

We used to have a mouse problem until i got cats. The only issue I've had since was one of my boys left a dead mouse on my pillow... Needless to say i did laundry that day.
