Thank you very much, I have used both Zotero and freeplane, but I didn’t expect them to be so amazing in combination. Zotero can be used to record data and manage files, and mind maps can be used to establish connections. 😀
Very useful. Thanks for sharing! Question: in the video you mention that you wanted to make sure that Zotero's links remain stable. Have you learned anything more about that?
Hi Quinbus, thanks for sharing your very useful work on how to place links to Zotero items in freeplane maps! Today I tried to follow your instructions with Zotero 5.0.83 Windows program plus the Zotero connectors for Chrome and for Firefox. Adding webpages to the Zotero database works fine. The entries plus snapshots appear in the Zotero Windows program as expected. But after clicking "Generate report from item..." that report does not contain a zotero: link to the Zotero item. Ivan reported this 2 years ago. Do you, Quinbus, have found to work-around this limitation? Regards Echo21
Hi Quinbus, I found a solution by myself: after installing the Zutilo plugin for Zotero and after configuring Zutilo's preferences to show the context menu "Copy select items links" I can easily create and paste such links of the form "zotero://select/library/items/" in my freeplane mindmaps.
@@MrMwelters : Thanks. it worked for me too. I am sure many folks want Zotero to work with some sort of mind mapping tool (FreePlane, Docear, etc...). I have been exploring for weeks now for a good integration between Zotero and mind mapping tools but no solutions out there. I see any follks post messaging asking for this since 2010....
