@@medstudentsuccess hey I just wanted to let you know, I literally only watched your videos for Micro for my entire micro review for dedicated (I had a ok micro background from the past couple semesters), and I think I got all of the micro questions on my exam today because of your two or three videos. I really appreciate your work, and you made it very easy and digestible to review. Granted, every exam is different and I have heard of the STEP going into the weeds with their micro questions, but mine were very straight forward. For your information or to whoever else is reading, it seems they focused heavily on congenital infections (CMV) and endocarditis (S. Mitins [it was a trick answer choice, the answer choice said “native oral flora”). Also S. Aureus for endocarditis. Taenia Solium was an unexpected surprise! My advice for future USMLE STEP1 test takers: learn your anatomy. It was honestly a little annoying how in the weeds they got with that, for example, “if you have a posterior dislocation of X, what will be impinged or damaged?” or “what spinal root level is affected if a patient presents with X symptoms along Y appendage?”
