Easy win for Slovenia. They did a good job of pushing the US out wide and left them with nowhere to go except backwards often in this match. Berhalter once again showed his lack of ideas to make goals happen. The apologists will say it's a meaningless friendly and once again blame the players.
love how people say easy win when the other team had more chances its like they did not actually watch the game. It was very poor wing play trying to shoot everytime and not cross or play someone with a better angle.
@@alandrian It was an easy win for Slovenia. They were well organized and well managed. They made very few mistakes. With less effort and possession they were able to put more shots on target and score. I don't care how athletic, speedy, or strong the US players were The US and their manager were unable to get the job done.
@@tripperdelaluna1 easy is achieved without great effort or presenting few difficulties. US made many shots = difficulties. Learn words before using them.
The result is obviously a shame but I wouldn't take the result to heart. A lot of the players, especially the subs that came on played very well and easily could have scored if it wasn't for either a small mistake or just some misfortune.
Every year we give young players and bubble players a run out in this camp; Fielding a team that has played very free reps together. And you're surprised that they don't look like world beaters?! Sometimes development and improvement looks rocky, that doesn't mean you stop giving the younger guys a look...
@@newpatch36 surprised? No, not surprised at all. It is not the job of the National team to develop and improve players, that's done at the club level. This camp is a pointless MLS showcase that, shockingly, turns out making MLS look bad.
Congrats to the Slovenes. It's interesting. The USA beat Bosnia and Herzegovina, but they lost to Serbia and Slovenia.I'm talking about the USA versus Bosnia game in December 2021,the USA versus Serbia game in January 2023 and of course, this game. The Americans' record against the former Yugoslav countries(Three so far,Bosnia,Serbia and Slovenia) is two losses and one win.I'm Bosnian-American.That's why I'm saying what I'm saying
Would be nice bht Mourinho turned down managing his own country bc in his own words he likes the day to day job so that probably means he will never manage a national team
Im not convinced he's even the best option....and definitely not for that amount of money. Surely better than ggg, but unless he can absolutely guarantee a wc final - and even then - that money is better spent fixing youth and development, imho.
Casual football fans think these two sides fielded their 1st team. I don't even know any of these players in the US except Miles Robinson and Shaq Moore. Heard a bit about Diego Luna and Malik Tillman's brother. And as much as I don't like Berhalter, this is about getting minutes for others that may not see it once the actual camp starts for Copa America. These are the back ups to the back ups in the event others get injured.
I saw a lot of errors from the US team. Also Robinson, Moore, White, and Tillman are not youngsters. The only bright side for me was the lions share of possession - possession allowed by a well managed Slovenia team.
Only players here who truly deserve it is bajraktarevic, luna and mcGlynn. All the others are trash. L berhalter. Bad team. Ik this is camp cupcake, but it was a slovenia C team. Seeing shaq moore here is a crime!
I think the German style of passing should be implemented to draw the eye of American fans. Elite passers...not goal hogs are needed for mez'ing the people! The style and class of passing in tandem is the, "epitome of the sport"!
This game could have very easily been a 3-1 or 4-1 win by the USMNT... Especially if we weren't playing many 3rd string players and the one's on the field actually finished their maaaany chances. Dispit that, this also very easily could have ended up a 0-0 tie if not for Gradisar finishing off a stellar run.
I hope USA, Mexico and Canada can all find better form by the world cup. Still, these were alternate teams. The Copa America will be a better measure of the situation.
First still can't think about Berhalter leaving Pepi off 2022 squad. Gregg you own that mistake! We never saw Gio as a 10 or false 9 till we had BJ coach. I know this is the C team, but Gregg just feels stale. Just bc the players like Gregg doesn't make him the right choice. Might be better to have a coach that can challenge them/.
Well USA actually lucky to face Uruguay last after Uruguay almost guaranteed to be qualified taking on Bolivia and Panama. Lol. So maybe Uruguay puts in their second stringers and with USA at home USA has a chance to pull a tie or a close loss. Also depends on who Uruguay would face in the second round if they end up in second they may not take a chance and in that case yes Uruguay will blow em out by 3 or 4 goals despite USA being at home. 😂
some interesting young talent. Luna showed some class. Just couldn't finish. I am concerend Burhalter is too predictable and cannot change tactics during the game.
It wasn’t a bad showing. A lot of missed opportunities for both sides. I know everyone wants to see the “good” players but other players need to see action in a meaningless game.
LOL usa fans always have excuses whenever they lose. But beat a weak ass CONCACAF team and they're ecstatic. lol They're going to face stronger teams than Slovenia down the line. Berhalter will sink this team.
This was not a FiFA day for international match, so the teams are not obligated to give up their players. You can't have Pulisic, or any of the players currently playing in other countries.
horrible crowd not even sold out not even decent full!! doesnt matter if its a c team ive seen worst teams or third world country teams pack stadiums or bring more crowd than this
