Greetings from half away around the world. Would have loved to have been on a watchalong with you guys. The only thing I have to say - Man, do our CBs look shaky! Gotta tighten that up.
Halfway around the world, now you have to tell us where you are! We apologize for the lack of a watchalong, the entire weekend didn’t work with our schedules. We’ll be back with watchalongs later on in the tournament!
Unconvincing performance, but a win is what we needed. Panama is a little better test and then we get the real litmus test against Uruguay, who looked solid last night… they eye test suggests we will have to play out of our minds to beat them. You nailed the positives: Puli and Jedi. I’d add Balogun to the list… he needed a goal to get some of his confidence back, so that could be critical going forward. Negative was McKennie, and the CBs a little bit. PLUS that broadcasting team 🤷🏻… yeeesh. Somebody tell them that it is Antonee Robinson and not AntHony!!
Pulisic is stepping it up big time. Sadly I think this serves as reality check for us that he’s the only player we have who can change matches, Gio had a lot of opportunities to create space and time on the ball but he is just an okay player whose potential we misjudged. McKennie so bad and Richards is horrible at times
Richards is frustrating, he could be such a good defender but he makes stupid mistakes on the ball and even sometimes while defending. It would be great if Gio lived up to his potential and turned into a real gamechanger, we’ve seen him do it a few times before, but it’s not going to happen from the 8 position.
It was an encouraging performance from Flo, now we have to see if he can do it against better teams. I back whoever starts at striker against Panama (or maybe both of them) to score, but the Uruguay game is the real test.
Captain America doing what he does best, but no one else was on the same page, he would create chances and set up plays but he thinks too fast, the rest of the team is so mid sadly. I love Wes but he does look overweight, thoughts on this cincy wild rumor?
It seems like every game Pulisic proves how much better he is than the rest of the team. We’ll have another transfer update video coming out tomorrow where we’ll go in depth into Weston’s potential transfer and some others, but it would be a disaster if he moves to MLS now.
Every win we have is mid asf except for a couple moments that show the talent disparity between us and our opponents, its why we can never beat good teams
They did what they HAD to do. Nothing special beating Bolivia. But it was an unconvincing win. The real tesis are Panama (they played a good second half against Uruguay) and Uruguay of course. PD: Yuri looks like Olivia Rodrigo's twin.
I think the USA vs Panama game will be a fun one, lots of chances on both ends. I’m nervous for the game against Uruguay, they look really good under Bielsa.
I’m not sure I’d say we made them look competitive, but we should’ve won by more for sure. Panama could put up a decent fight, but the real test comes against Uruguay.
@@AMERICANULTRASTALK like when he was benched at PSV and left off the World Cup squad? What was Haji doing during that time? Oh yea, scoring in the WC against the Dutch and reaching the FA QFs, scoring against Man U.
This was the worst match I’ve seen in a while, everybody apart from Pulisic, Jedi and Adams at times looked slow, sloppy and with no balls. We only won because we have 1 good player who can make magic out of nothing at times that’s it. Awful start that will paper over the cracks in this team.
Interesting analysis, there were definitely large portions of the game where we didn’t really create anything and looked uninspiring. I wouldn’t read too much into it though, the real tests will come soon
