Out of curisoty, why is the pilothouse is so far back to the rear of the ship, why can it be up front where they can see where the ship is going? The front appears to have a large hanger for storing helicopters, so why can it be located in the rear?

Hmm so the civilians run the deck, engine and operations departments and the USN runs the flight deck.... with 3 times the personnel.
