A good percentage of those competitors struggled after so much time spent waiting for decent weather. “It’s definitely a major factor,” said Jason Sanders, United States Parachute Team member and Open Class competitor. “A day and a half off messes with your mindset. Those weather changes introduce adjustments you have to make, and the biggest factor becomes how well you deal with it.”
