USS Puller FFG-23 was my last ship in the Navy, 1988. I heard about the two SEALS that died who were on the new USS Puller ESB-3. Bravo Zulu and God Bless you my Brothers. Bobby Estey
While I can only admire those who had the foresight to think of this class of ship (it is desperately needed in the Pacific) I submit that Lewis B. Puller’s name would have been better given to an Amphibious Assault Ship. I further submit that the ESB’s would have been better named after US Secretaries of the Navy: “USS Gideon Wells”, “USS John Lehman”, “USS Charles Edison”, “USS James Forrestal” etc, etc, etc..
Impressive. But I'm thinking a salvo of Exocet like missles would reduce that magnificent ship to a pile of smoking sinking debris. Any ship is vulnerable to those Exocet missles. Ask the British.
What’s your genuine point rather suggesting a false equivalence. You might as well say the US has the Philippines while China has no blue water fleet. No point.
Have a dislike for not only not narrating this with a human voice, but for also literally copying and pasting the exact wikipedia entry into the computer voice. Verbatim.
@@georgewashington938 unless its got invisible protection, just looks like a barge, they could have used an old carrier for the same roll, and not cost millions of $,and that could/would have had very good armament to protect itself.
@@georgewashington938 i will try and make it a little clearer it role is to be used in areas where the risk of attack is lower and ship that cost more to run are not need freeing them up for the areas that have a higher risk
