SubhanAllah kese durwesh log sachay or suchay log kya Khuda ne noor bhra hai hath me. Me jab bhi in ka Tabla sunta hon to siwaye Ajzi inksari ke kuch bhanpta e nai pwattar log 🙏❤🙏 Love from Pakistan
Among the Gods of Tabla Ustadji's name shines endlessly. He is the most able and dedicated "Sagrid" of his Guru Ustad Munir Khan Sahib. A simple, humble, innocent, honest "Darbesh" of Tabla both in style and speech - matchless with God's Plenty. My Pronam(heartfelt respect) to Ustadji.
Poignant moment at @8:06 when the great Ustad states that he does "saath" to the artist he is accompanying and ensures he does "saath" only... :) such humility !
Ustad ji while playing tabla a pure soul talking to his God and not anyone present there except both of them feel blessed to listen this recording, inhe sirf books me parha aur Dekha ki he was a great musician and a expertise in teaching tabla, itna shaant Jaise ek tapaswi lekin inki fingers tabla per Bina Kisi Zoe k aise naach rahi hei ki Baar Baar sirf aashcharya hota hai yes we are lucky to have so many great musicians,
M astonished to see how gracefully he was playing with such clarity and accuracy of laya......even if he cant speak clearly due to old-age his fingers and mind was sharp and accurate when he was with Tabla.... What a musician, what a master, entirely dedicated to his music yet what a humble person....may be because of such humility he was such a great exponent of the music...at his age may be i shall not be able to sit properly.... Ajkal ke bohot sare nou jawan kurkur karke do hat kya baja liya ...aisa ahankari ho jate hay jaise phuk se ISIS terrorist marke aya....

if you are a tabla player or indian classical music learner you cannot compare any gharana...here ustadji knows the difference but he doesn't wants to...because it will be disrespectful .

Walter, it would be unfair to limit excellence to these two giants. There was also Ustad Amir Hussain, Ustad Habibuddin Khan, Ustad Shamsuddin Khan, Khalifa Ustad Wajid Hussain Khan, Ustad Sheikh Dawood, Pandit Kanthe Maharaj, Pandit Anokhelal, Pandit Gudai Maharaj, Pandit Kishan Maharaj, and Ustad Alla Rakha The final two names were crucial in causing a revolution for tabla players in the 20th century... essentially, Khan Sahib Thirakwa popularised solo playing as we know it today, but Pt. Kishan Maharaj ji and Ustad Alla Rakha got the tabla players an equal status as the "main instruments". Maharaj ji took on the organisers at a grass-root level whilst, Alla Rakha ji toured the world extensively; thus solidifying the tabla's presence as a main instrument. These were the popular names. Here are a few more: Pandit Chatur Lal, Khalifa Ustad Karamatullah Khan, Ustad Latif Ahmed Khan, Pandit Nikhil ji Ghosh, Ustad Nizamuddin Khan... the list is endless; which is truly representative and a testament to the infinite deepness of the art of tabla.
