Ustadji has developed a tendency in last 10 years to play short compositions of multiple ragas and mostly the same ones. Has he himself lost patience of playing a long rendition of a single raga or it is due to his accurate assessment of the concentration time of his great audience in live programmes ?
It has actually been an observation among many musical stalwarts such as Mita Nagji that the general audience no longer enjoy longer renditions. It may be due to this change in the audience that Ustadji does not perform long recitals.
