What they didn't show was Horan getting tackled in the box on a corner kick. It looked good enough for the NFL. What the US needs to do is connect more on their passes. A lot of times passes were going towards somebody and they acted like they didn't realize it. Also needed to play a more up tempo game. The US play down to their opponent.

How that wasen't a penalty on O'hara is beyond anything I've seen in my 70yrs watching football. Foot to the height of the head & then raked down the ribs, definitely player endangerment.

Yeah, that was too dangerous to only be a yellow. No awareness of where her studs were.

U don’t really get an automatically red card on your first foul, that’s why they went to the var and she didn’t do it on purpose with a intention to hurt the 🇺🇸 pakyer

This coach is either dumb, or the NWSL is making him play some over rated players, no one knows. Similar issue with the mens national team.

I am not a big fan of the coach. He tested the young players. Then in real games, he goes back to the older players. Not only Rodman. Smith and a couple of other young players are skillful and with amazing speed.

Rodman hasn't exactly been lighting it up in her previous USWNT games, and she hasn't scored that much for the Washington Spirit in the NWSL this season. Great upside, and maybe she'll get more playing time if Pugh doesn't pick it up, but right now Rodman doesn't deserve to start.

Yes they do they also to pick up the pace and press the other teams more also get familiar the majorize themselves with each other

Well they did just recently win the U17 and U20 regional tournament. They sent their U15, U20 and U23 to Europe and beat the likes of Sweden, Germany, France, Netherlands, Norway. All Undefeated including winning SUD Ladies Cup over France, Mexico and Netherlands. So they are developing I think lol

@@danw4711 yea I think the USWNT will overall dominate the future with the young players that are coming up. But in the immediate future (the World Cup next year), I’m not too sure. They could win it but they need to expedite the development of the young players on the senior USWNT

They are playing the youngest average age since 2016, so already doing it. They are mixing the vets with the younger players - as they should.

This coach needs to go! So disappointed in this team and they are not playing quality soccer. At this point, not sure they will even qualify for World Cup.
