UT Austin grapples with fallout from Texas DEI ban 

In response to Texas Senate Bill 17, which bans diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives at higher education institutions, the University of Texas at Austin closed its Division of Campus and Community Engagement, resulting in the layoff of 49 faculty members.
