Talk about taking your tools for a long walk in search of ice!

One of those days that is more about the overall adventure with your friends than the quality/quantity of ice. We were just happy to find some and practice some rope systems while exploring a new place!

Shane and I had original plans to climb in Big Cottonwood Canyon, however the plan changed when the Avi forecast went up, so we found this to do! Without the ability to drive a sled down the Mirror Lake Highway (150) and forest road, we approached from the Mill Creek trailhead which follows the Deuschane River.

We searched for 2 other ice climbs called Gallery of Glass and Crimson Column on the way in, but had no luck on the way in (1-2 miles from trailhead). We did see High Lonesome Falls but didn't have time to go up there and look.

Climb - WI3 if we climbed the top, but pretty much all WI2 till then
Round Trip Hike - 13.1 miles and 1000' of vert
