I'm excited for the Smith' and the fans in Utah! As a Coyotes fan in Arizona, it hurts to see them leave. Your getting an outstanding group of men that have put up with a cheapskate owner. This a a team with a very bright future. I hope you will grow to love them as much as the good people who invested almost 30 years to LOUSY OWNERSHIP. Your going to enjoy this! GOOD LUCK!😊
it ain't run of the mill...unlike most of the team names suggested - UNIMAGINATIVE! It's what elementary students would come up with. Can I do better? No bout a doubt it!!
This is the look of the Gen Whatever nouveau riche. He looks and sounds like a minor character from the Simpsons. But he's got the money to buy up sports teams and that is all that counts, apparently. Screw the NHL. May it never return to Arizona.
Can't blame the NHL - they dumped a fortune into AZ, to keep the Coyotes afloat after their ownership built in the far West, pissed off Glendale, struck out in Tempe, and didn't produce a viable plan for a home. Many of us want a team, here. One with a competent owner. (Who actually looks like a hockey team owner - not some silly child.)
As smart as this man is and surrounding himself with smart people as he has. You'd think that a team name would have already been chosen. This makes Itah look like the biggest dummies in the league. Hey we're the Utah no names let's sell some sweaters, and team mascots . Unbelievably I'll prepared.
Deal wasn’t rushed. The movie blackberry and the blackberry dude dealing with board of governors is a lengthy process and approval. Not over night. That being said I bet he’ll have investors name a name make cash off it. It’s a business it’s all good. But no joke Phoenix was a legal write off for LTI contracts. A loophole for the big wigs for trades. I wonder if Utah will be the same.
He almost certainly has several possible names picked out, but probably wants to run them through focus groups and surveys to see what works the best. Rushing into picking a name is probably a bad decision.
