Huge W!!! Rookie QB that did well despite the few mistakes and defense was suffocating. Ending was interesting but glad we got that one. Bernard, what a performance! Glad football is back!
Let's freaking go!! I finally felt good after Brants casual walk-in for his second td I finally relaxed. My bad! What a great performance by our boys out there! Proud to be a Ute!
A very good win, very physical, very hot, nitpicking here, the play calling left a lot to the imagination, and going to a soft, very soft zone on defense at the end of the game almost cost the Utes, still a great way to start conference play, now they just need to follow it up next week with some payback! As always a great day to be a Ute...
That prevent defense and offense at the end of the game gets so frustrating. They know we’re going to run it up the middle every freaking play and we keep doing it and so we’re punting the ball back to them and giving them opportunities to get back into the game. I’m not saying you have to throw it but at least disguise it and do some QB runs or some other little runs around the end rather than just trying to power up the middle every f-ing play. Play to win, don’t play to survive..
@@utahutesballing definitely, you could see the fatigue start with the offensive line and than the defense started to try and shoulder tackle instead of wrapping up more and more which is a bad sign
The offense stalled possession after possession. Why is 3rd and 3 always a run up the middle. No imagination. It wasn’t that Wilson was great but that the receivers made incredible catches. Wilson’s accuracy is still off but kudos to him for playing tough on the road against very good competition. He will mature much faster than was originally expected.😅Singer and Bernard were awesome
My true thoughts of rising not playing is F that. I’m to the point where I know he’s better than Wilson but if you can’t play with an injury like that? Then don’t take any reps during the week.
I actually felt the first interception he threw was a great throw. Just an amazing defensive play. I had to see it the second time to realize that it was an actual interception. I was wondering how we didn’t come back with the completion on it. Joseph nice show again today
Oh, and don’t forget on that drive you called a great drive. They got about 20 yards on a completion that was amazing defense. We battered the ball straight up in the air and they luckily had a it right to them.
A few key takeaways for me: - Our defense is absolutely NAILS - Isaac Wilson has made huge strides through each week of this season and will be a huge factor for our future - Our offense NEEDS to figure out how to get the ball into the endzone more consistently - Micah Bernard is a DAWG with a 60+ yd run in each of the previous three games! - We need to LOCK in for the rest of the season
Yay for the W! But my two issues- 1. FG kicking. Why not kick at the end of the first drive? And even more - when pass protection is bad, why pass with 20 sec left in the 2nd Q rather than run the ball and then kick? Instead, Wilson throws an INT while under pressure. 6 points in FGs that we didn't even attempt. 2. What happened to that D final 5 min? Geez!
Congrats Utah. Nailbiter at end but true freshman Isaac Wilson did what was needed and is only going to get better. Bernard is a beast. Kuithe is Kuithe. Singer great. I thought the offense played well overall, especially considering the field was over 100 degrees and Isaac is a true freshman. Defense awesome as always. Slowed down their pressure a tad in the last minutes before we got the ball back but still awesome going into a hot, hostile environment. Another plus.... USC lost. That should help us. Go Utes!!
Game ball to the defense who pitched a shutout for almost 45 minutes of the game and of course to... Micah Bernard, who ran for 186 yards on 25 carries at 7.3 per attempt. GO UTES!
To be honest, when that game started and I saw Wilson come out I was so pissed off that we’re even giving Cam a chance at this point. You’re getting paid $1 million just to coast it on the bench every game? F-ing fragile primadonna! You’ve got a cut on your hand that has had two weeks to heal. I don’t care if you had stitches or super glued that damn thing back together, there no reason after two weeks you can’t go out there and hold a ball. And the deception that he is playing and not is SO annoying.
Just like the Baylor game, Utes up fairly comfortable seems the D lets up like they have it in the bag. They need to play hard to the last minute. I hate to say this but I am about to the stage of moving on from Cam and roll the dice with the freshman and take our lumps when they happen. Cam missing 21/2 games out of just 4 does not look good at all. A finger is keeping him out? I am just not going to wonder every week if he plays or not anymore. Right now he just not. Feel bad for him but this needs to end and move on. Today him sitting out just took the cake for me, actually stunned me he would sit out this game over a finger.
Total absolute domination until the last 6 minutes, then we let them off the hook. Why in the world can’t you win going away??? With the play off situation as it is, at some point it is going to matter HOW you win. Yes a great win in a hostile environment, but it still leaves a bad taste. Sorry to have negativity here, but it just drives me crazy. And don’t get me started on Cam Rising…..
Gundy needs to fire everybody on the offensive staff today. Sick of the casey Dunn fiasco!! Where is this famous strength coach, getting their asses manhandled.
