I will always love the Original Coyotes jersey. So wonderful.

In Alaska, we had the Alaska Aces in ECHL who we all adored and loved. The last few years of their play started to fall down, and people didn't go to games as much as they did because of their downfall. Resulting in them cutting the team back in 2016-17, I miss professional hockey in Alaska, so I can get what the fans in Arizona are feeling, or what are going through.

Utah coyotes is still a solid name.

This entire thing wasn't the fault of arizona or the fans. Arizona is a great hockey market, and the coyotes have brought in so much hockey to Arizona. This was the entire fault of the management.

As a Utahn I’m excited for the possibility. But I wish that it was under better circumstances. I hate that the reason my home state might get a hockey team is because we’re taking one away from another fanbase.

Not a Yotes fan but I am a bit sad that they are moving to Utah. My favorite moment was that Ray Whitney goal back in 2012. That was when Arizona (Phoenix) was in there prime. I don’t really like them because I’m still bitter about that Raffi Torres hit on Marian Hossa

Being a fan who grew up in Utah, I’m really excited for NHL hockey to come here so we can finally show how good the hockey market is! The Grizzlies are a fun team to watch and that barn is always buzzing, can’t wait to see how it plays out. I like the Utah yeti and the Salt lake Barracuda

Gonna be pasting this on all my usual haunts but yeah, really tough time for AZ Hockey fans. As a Jets fan a small bitter part of me feels vindicated that the Coyotes fanbase gets to feel a bit of what we had to deal with when they left in 1996. The other part of me knows just how crushing reality is without the team there. It’s a heartbreaking outcome and I hope that fans in Arizona can find other avenues to enjoy the sport in the same way. You will always be a part of hockey history, you won’t be forgotten, and you’ll be warmly welcomed back in time. I’m hopeful that they won’t have to wait 15 years before they get a second chance with ownership that can properly support the community. Condolences to fans everywhere, and for eager supporters in Salt Lake - Cheer hard, and give them the love they’ve just lost. Excited to see a new NHL market embrace the new beginning. My two thoughts for team names would be Salt Lake Snakes/Rattlesnakes Or Utah Outlaws

I love the Coyotes logo and name. I hope they keep them, or that they come back with the expansion.

My fondest memory of the Coyotes is Bob Essensa in 99 going on a 9 game winning streak to start the season. I'm really sad for Arizona fans. I can't imagine what it would be like to lose your franchise. I hope you are able to get them back someday. From a Habs fan.

Personally I would LOVE it if they would become the Grizzlies. I love that logo so much I bought a game used jersey just for it.

I feel sorry for the fans, in fact for all fans that lose a hockey team, however the owners and more to the point, the city is to blame. They had 28 years to find a place and build a barn and they failed. Being bounced around three different cities in the metro area makes it seem like no one wanted them around. I hope they don't pick a silly cartoonish name like the yeti. That name has been tagged with the cooler. The Golden Eagles would be a good name but I doubt the NHL would want another Golden. Jackrabbits, bobcats or lynx would work for me.

The Yotes were always a second favourite team for me. Especially when they brought the Kachina back. Always loved some of the players that went through there like Doan, Jovo Cop, Hanzal, OEL. Feel bad for a guy like Keller who’s probably become pretty fond of the area after being there as long as he has now

if arizona comes back to the nhl then they're gonna have a nasty rivalry with utah

With talks going around about how Arizona would be first in line for an expansion, I'd prefer the name Coyote to be off the table for the relocation. Just like how Winnipeg was able to get back the Jets name, I'd love for Arizona to be able to get back the name in a few years

I’m happy for Utah and sad for Arizona at the same time. Phoenix is the 5th largest city in the US and that market needs a major sports team in all 4 leagues.

I found an NHL team concept called the Utah Vipers, don't know why they would be called that but the concept was cool

AZ had nearly 30 years to figure things out...unlike Minnesota in the 90's I would have to suggest putting an expansion team right back into the market isn't wise

When the story broke, I was in the 'Stingers' camp, but I'm warming up to the 'Yeti'. It rolls off the tongue: YOU tah YE ti. Problem with 'Stingers' is that it kind of commits you to black & gold unis, and there's already BOS & PIT, plus LAK in black & silver. Logo: think of 'the Thing' from the Fantastic 4 with flame shaped mid-length white hair. (The long hair in the other Yeti logos is too hippy-dippy-airy-fairy.)

Not sure I understand the potential return story: would it be the same team returning, or a completely different group of players with the same logo..? I guess the latter? As for a Utah team name, the Utah Yeti seems to be the best so far. I like the bee 🐝 theme but hard to get that into a name. The Utah Stingers? The Utah Honey Monsters? Doesn’t really work.

As a hockey fan in Utah. Im excited to get NHL here. Personally would have preferred to have an explanation team and see that built from the ground up. And because it just feels bad that the AZ fans are the ones getting punished in this. Did not want the NHL in SLC at the expense of others.

Just like the Atlanta Thrashers - its a big city, there's a loyal fanbase, and the market is there. The problem is 100% on ownership

Since Saints was mentioned and the Coyotes are an ex-WHA team, call them the Fighting Saints and use the old Fighting Saints logo, colors & uniforms. They were really cool. Actually the best thing would just keep calling them Coyotes. I'm sure there are many, many Coyotes in Utah. Also, when they bring back a Phoenix team, just call them the traditional Phoenix hockey team name--the Roadrunners. Then at some future date we can have games between the Roadrunners and the Coyotes and it will be hockey Looney Toons.

It will be a rebrand. In part of the sale, the old owner of the Coyotes keeps the Coyote name. Living in Utah, I like Yeti or Blizzard. We could go Utah Orange Cones with all the damn construction...

This Oilers fan will be rooting for the Yotes this wednesday. My whole life this team has been the "joke" the "punchline" and the underdog that never went anywhere. Now they're getting shipped off to somewhere else and it's all just a bit of a friggin downer. I can't imagine how gutting it is for the true fans. I hope they do get a new team in the future and a fresh start. Hope they see success that the Coyotes never got to have. AWOOOO 🦊

It won't be this, but I like the idea of "The Utah Pantheon" and have greek theming in the jersey and logo (Cuz "Olympians" would probably cause an issue with the Olympics thing but also I think Pantheon sounds better)

Part of me is happy with this move because: 1) We put this whole mess to rest that's been brewing for roughly 10 years and 2) I'm excited that my home state is getting an NHL team. With that said, I am still saddened by this move because I know it's hard for their fans. I wanted this team to succeed in Arizona and even considered it to be my second favorite team after the Penguins. It's rough to lose a team man.

The problem is, Arizona dosen't deserve an expansion franchise in 5 years... They deserve the team they have. After many many years dealing with being a of bottom of the league finisher, they finally stockpilled and drafted a pretty exciting up-and-coming young team that should be pretty competitive, just for the fans to have to watch them move away. They dealt with the rough years just to miss out on the reward of good, exciting hockey for years to come.

What about the Utah Miners because there has been a lot of mining in Utah?

Utah Grizzlies. The Utah Jazz owner could buy the rights to the name, logo, and color scheme of the current ECHL team. My second choice would be the Yeti.

Utah just unveiled a new state flag with a Beehive in the center, so maybe "Swarm" or "Stingers" could work as a team name.

I am going to have a hay day if the name will be the Utah Saints. However, Utah Yeti doesn't sound too bad. If I can suggest something, I'd say Utah Spike.

There are coyotes in Utah, but when you think coyotes, you think desert, most people think mountains and salt lake when they think Utah. Grizzlies or something more mountain like would work.

It was announced that the Coyotes brand is staying in Arizona and will likely be activated when they get their expansion franchise. So, no Utah Coyotes. However, i like the name i hav3 been hearing..Utah Swarm.
