Don't worry about the frequency. It's a great show and series to review. I would rather the episodes be enthusiastic and well paced rather than frequent, rushed and come off as chore like. I found your pod through another who choober I think.

Yeah I genuinely just found this podcast myself! RU-vid recommended me your reviews of the "Flux" episodes, Jodie Whittaker's final series, at the time you were releasing them. I'd never heard of you before then. I thought your reviews were great and haven't missed one since (because I subscribed) When I independently checked out the other videos on this channel - that's when I discovered this podcast! I listen to it on RU-vid instead of Spotify though (btw, Utopia is my favourite episode of "NuWho"! - among the best ones for sure)

I can see where people are coming from shipping the Master and the Doctor cause no matter what combination you go with, they always have massive on-screen chemistry. And there are a lot of flirty moments. But I feel like a lot of people forget that chemistry is not inherently romantic. Bill and Twelve have great chemistry together but it's purely platonic/familial. Also I don't know about the rest of y'all, but my friend group can say pretty flirty things to each other but we're still all platonic. Missy even says to Clara that their relationship (Missy & Doctor) is much more deep and meaningful and complicated than simple romantic/sexual tension. I could entertain a romantic/sexual slant to their relationship once in a while in fan content but I don't ever think it should be canon. Also I never read Martha's speech as like guilt-trippy or as her blaming him for not reciprocating. I read it as her putting all her cards on the table and letting him know how she felt. To me it felt like she was finally being honest and up front with him instead of trying to coyly hint at her feelings. I always thought of the speech as "I value our friendship and if we keep going the way we are, it's not going to be good for either of us." I don't think someone sharing their feelings is inherently like manipulative. It's like "This is how I've been feeling and I just wanted you to know. I'm not trying to attack you or make you feel bad, I'm just sharing so you understand where I'm coming from." Their friends and I don't think if it would serve their friendship if he never knew how she felt about him. It helps bring both of them closure, not just Martha. It helps the Doctor be more up front in the future about what he needs from a companion. He's honest with Donna saying "Hey I just want a friend" and he would have never been able to vocalize that if he never knew how Martha felt about him.

Since you asked, I found this podcast by googling/ listen notes, trying to find a doctor who rewatch podcast. I'd never heard of who culture. I started listening to the first episode of this iteration ("previously on.."), which directed me to who culture to listen to the first episodes, then came back over here when i caught up

I used to watch Who Culture a few years ago but went off that style of content. Some years later after finishing all of VoteSaxon07's reviews I was craving more Doctor Who reviews and found you guys via searching. Glad I did, they're great reviews.

I'm pretty sure that the algorithm just recommended this to me, I never watched a whole lot of WhoCulture so like I literally only ever knew what was going on when it was talked about in the pod
