That last sentence uttered by Utpal Dutt ji in that movie is so scarily relevant especially nowadays! What kind of technology is there to stop us from signing our own death warrant, our own self destruction... He told that sentence with such conviction and sincerity, that I am very sure he believed it in reality too. Though I know what kind of a marvel he was in his acting, in his craft. There just can be nobody like Utpal Dutt ji or Satyajit Ray ji ever.... 🙏🏻🙏🏻 God bless them wherever they are. The pride of our nation!

Utpal dutta was an Awesome versatile actor.some of his movies that I like the most are golmal,agantuk,joy baba felunath,hirak rajar deshe.

Never easy to make closer of 02 great talents. Satyajit Ray made it. Jalsaghar with Chhabi Biswas, Paraspaathar with Tulsi Chakraborty and Agantuk with Utpal Dutta. Relationship was so good and easier in those days than today.

Having a grand feast and keeping the taste buds intact by not tampering it with anything for sometime is reminiscent of watching such a beautiful piece art.....such a pity that the outside audience gave him such adulation and love which he couldn't enjoy from his fellow countrymen.... especially Bollywood....maybe his style of cinema was much ahead of its time for our audience...feels so wonderful when stalwarts like Akira Kurosawa, Abbas Kiarostami or Martin Scorsese speak about Ray's filmmaking and the influence it had on them.....the sad part is that Bengali cinema should have explored much richer pastures with influence of such master's ( Mrinal Sen, Rithik Ghatak included) but movie makers decided to go Bollywood way and have become a very poor cousin of them..

Actially most people all over our Country did not know how much Utpal Dutt Sir had been talented,educated, multifaceted!Most people over our Country ,except North East ,West Bengal ,did not know that he had Writen,scripted fantastic Dramas,acted in ,and he scripted, played excellent roles in all time - great Shakespeare's many English Dramas.Other than Bengali Films, in Hindi Films also he had left a different typed impression and signature by his different typed, different styled superb excellent acting abilities
