Beautiful areas and countryside. Thanks for posting. The trails that I see in your video are similar to some of the types of trails we run in the Summer. Other trails aren't even two tracks.
Awesome video! Whereabouts is that bridge you guys came across around 6 minutes in? I ride to grand marais a few times a year and would love to check that spot out!
It's in that area. So I just found it and we were on a trail heading staight north each just off McCloud Grade. Looking at the map, it was just before (east) of Harvey Creek. The bridge we crossed was porter creek which dumps off of Sucker River. That should pinpoint it for you. I would not suggest taking the bridge - it was super sketch! Starting at 3:35, we took this trail 2 years ago! Map showed it connecting to the east, which as we both found out it does not. Had one buggy roll on its side 😂😂
That's great (well, the rollin rig part wasn't)! I'm still working on the edits for our trip this year and I think I'm going to make a video on the coolest trails that I've been on UP there. Usually, when we come across a big hole, I set a waypoint so I know where it's at in the future. What navigation system do you use?

I am trying to plan a trip exactly like this for this summer. Any tips? I've never been on a SXS in the UP. How deo you guys go about finding trails like that? I know the ORV routes arent that extensive like the snowmobile ones are.
I'll be honest, my buddies and I have always had the explorer bug even when we rode motorcycles. It's best to just go out exploring on your own. You can ride pretty much anywhere you want EXCEPT 'M' Roads and there aren't many. I should also include major roads like US 2, etc. One suggestion would be to drop near Newberry, there is a campground just north of town on M-123 and you can get on the trailhead from there directly. Once you are on the trails, take any roads you like - just mind your fuel (bring extra to be safe). I also suggest a GPS app like GAIA (which is what I use) and study roads and where they go. you'll be amazing how much great land there is to discover. Camp on any public land you like but I should not that UTV/SXS are not 'supposed' to be in any state campgrounds but I've not had any trouble so far as long as you aren't being rowdy. DNR does ride thru from time to time. I have a facebook group called UTV boondockers and we have a bunch of folks that do the same type of thing.
