With the uv slider in the extra parts bag there is a double yellow pin indicator that you can put on so you have a indicator for the 3 main pins plus the “bonus” pin at the bottom.
Nice job on the sight in. The horizontal line is a good tip, I've been sighting in that way for years. I'm looking forward to listening to you and Kolby on the podcast!
Using horizontal and vertical lines as target reference is as old as water. You know the answer unlike hitting circles or dots. Those are ok for hunting scenarios for 99% of the average hunter. Getting the most accurate marks, not just close enough, is the whole idea.
What’s so good with you is you put to valuable use all the stuff you do. From being in great shape to always tinkering, testing, upgrading etc. But still make time to shoot enough to be a really good shot. Like those three arrows in the line at 60. That’s actually some dang good shooting especially with a hunting rig. Most RU-vidr archery channels advocate more shooting less tinkering. I don’t upgrade a lot because I try to buy quality thought out equipment and use it till I’m 100% good with it. Why buy a $350 scope when my 4 year old one works perfectly. Same for a drop away rest. Once I’m setup and everything is exact I very Do anything to the rig and just shoot literally hundreds of arrows a week. I’m just an old old bow hunter staying ready to take a deer or pig or coyote or whatever.👍👍👍
Just a quick tip for the "Bonus Pin". There is a second indicator needle included in the UV-Slider Package which replaces the middle pin needle and adds the one for the bonus pin. That's what I would recommend for the TAC style setup to run.
@@nathanwebb4784 I don't know. The 4 indicator needles should be installed right on delivery because the pins are all there, too. It's described in the manual how to install the bonus pin needle, but it should be published a lot more like on UV instagram so people actually get to know of if.
Cannot even afford the UV slider currently. But it is definetely on the list! Congrats for you guys over the pond to win a bow! Here in Germany your bows are a bit more expensive due to shipping, customs, tax etc. But I am glad to have the chance to follow the US Channels to get more educated about Compound Archery (just switched from traditional and found that I love the tinkering with Compounds).
Can’t get enough of this channel! Thank you so much elkshape!! Ps I tried to add you on my shot sense awhile back. Could you give another video on your experience with the “shot sense”? Peace
I did exactly the same thing, shooting in the tape with the UV, then shooting it in again with the PCA speeds, and they were dead on. I prefer the 3 vertical pins. I would never want to make a sight tape another way now. FYI, on PCA you can enter a yardage of 1 yard and enter your launch speed rather than 20.
Congratulations to the winners of the bows!!! Cool informative video! For the "Sight Radius" measurement, I use the distance from the center of my peep sight to the center of sight housing (pins). I wonder how different the tapes if we measure from the eyeball to the center of sight housing (pins)?
Dude, great content (not sure I like the slider though - a buddy loves them and I'm not sure) so awesome you gave those bows away. I can't wait to see the hand off video! We met you at that TAC, awesome shoot and good times there. 🏹
Not many people add the information of how the bonus pin indicator is installed. Come with the accessories in the bag. Lot of missed information on these awesome sights. Great video still. Great job.
Hey Brother. I just got a sight with second axis adjustment and I still gotta figure that out. Sight tapes are later down the line for me. Congratulations to the winners. You got some awesome bows. #ElkShape #ABT
I had issues with a UV scope recently. I emailed them, explained the problem, they sent me a return label and mailed me a brand new one before they even received the other one back. I had previously heard bad reviews before contacting them though, but I thought customer support was solid.
I wish Ultraview had a try before you buy program lol thats a lot of scratch to put up for a sight that may not work out for my setup. But I've seen enough videos of people singing it's praises that I want to try it out
Congratulations to the winners. Just had my bear adapt plus blow up on me today. So no hunting season this year and possibly not again until I can afford a new bow. 🤦♂️
Just got my slider installed. i can shoot out to 92 maybe 95 yards before vane contact using the bottom floater. any way to get more distance with the bottom floater? can you mover the whole sight on the mount?
Would really like to see a speed comparison between the lift 29'5 and the v3 27 at a 27 inch draw length live in south africa my lift took for ever to get here been shooting it for about a month but my v3 feels faster don't get me wrong this lift is amazing
Dan's giving away mathews bows...he's now on his SECOND LIFT! I ORDERED MY LIFT BACK IN JANUARY, AND GUESS WHAT....ITS STILL NOT HERE! Some guys have all the luck! Wish you all well! SITP! GRIND IT OUT!
If you’re one of the type hunters that attend 3-d shoots for score and competition the sight marks need to be as correct as you can get. Shooting likens like in this video is a great way to do that. Kinda like getting basic dope on a rifle/scope setup. What real rifle hunter sights in shooting at freaking circles? Duh!
