Floor 10 Johnny, I think I really needed to hear that part about 2k 2d SMF. Also, damn if getting the 66FRC jH after the tk SMF mixup isn't hard as hell. That's the one tech I really need to practice more, because I just can't do it in a real match.
I just bought the season 3 pass the moment Slayer was announced and was planning to main Johnny. As a newb, this video is superb ! Love the explanations, especially the oki part since I'm kinda struggling with that. Thumbs up !
Thank you for this. Been trying to break past floor 10 for the last month now since I just started playing after Elphelt dropped. Gonna watch the vid rn, just wanted to leave a comment saying thanks for the entertaining videos and am looking forward to learning with this one. ❤😎 uwagoat. Never give up.
I just came back to the game from a year+ break, used to be a top player of my locals and Ive been going 0 2. Picked Johnny up last week because of your replays. I needed this more than you know.
Jesus forget Johnny guides this was the best guide for anything related Guilty Gear man congrats, i was following your twitter for peak content but this is off the roof in terms of quality, i'll learn these and apply them to my playstyle thank you so much
Yes! I've been hoping you'd make something like this. I don't have much time or energy to learn these games and characters anymore so stuff like this definitely helps a lot. Appreciate you brother
Sorry for coming late but MY GOD, this guide is very well explained and edited, you explained Johnny's most important concepts very well and I respect that, tysm for this video Uwa, this will definitely help many Johnny players to improve ✨
I've been maining Johnny for a while now, and until this guide I was not improving much. It is so well made! (I also got exposed a lot at the "bad habit section 😅)
Thanks for this guide haven’t played guilty gear since last year and Johnny is my first character I wanted to try out and I’m liking his playstyle it’s rough cause not a lot of defensive options for him than some but also feels rewarding. Still learning how to properly get the 50/50 mix up thing but I enjoy this video helped a lot
Been on Johnny since he dropped in strive, not bad not good either. This has to be the best guide anyone learning him could ask for. Helped me conceptualize things I was already doing like the smf vs 2D hkds
Thank you for making this. I think I’m gonna switch to Johnny just because I think he’s a lot of fun. He also reminds me a lot of Bryan from Tekken gameplay wise.
Such a well made guide good job. I’d say I’m an intermediate Johnny player and I still learned stuff. Would love an intermediate to advance guide down the line.
This is obscure as fuck but this was like watching Stephanafro brawlhalla guides for the first time again. I'm not really into Johnny but this video was just really fun to watch and great to listen to, thank you
Goated content! Would love to see an advanced guide, or at least know a good place to learn more advanced stuff. Seems like a lot of info is spread out all over the place.
Awesome guide helps me understand the character better. As a personal thing, what controller do you play with? I'm currently using leverless and I really struggle to do the TK SMF inputs consistently. Is this just a skill issue on my part or do you think its harder on leverless?
Uwa, thanks for your tutorial. I supposed it is the best johnny tutorial right now. And I learned alot from it. Recently, I was struggle on 6H combo. The most biggest issue is not sure when is the right time to use them. It feels like they relys on the position a lot and I am not sure how to memorize them and use them. Will there be any tutorials about that in the future?
do 21478 then press S after a short delay. The input buffer recognizes the 214 input even if its immediately followed by a jump. Once you've left the ground press S and you should begin doing SMF as soon as possible. Depending on the combo you may have to do 2148 or 2149 instead.
Hi uwa very nice guide, but i would love if you talked about the fact that after a vault prc smf, you have to time to setup another card, giving you 2 50/50s for 50 meter. I think this tech is the most broken thing johnny has, considering he has access to it even midscreen after a good prc vault
Hey mergo, I didn’t talk about it as I personally think it’s too difficult and inconsistent if you don’t do an FRC, and even then the spacings to jail backdash or reversals is pretty tight
