I love those stories of how people picked a main. “Why do you play Xiaoyu?” Not because she was top tier, not because she wanted to relate to the cutest asian girl, like most ppl assume... it’s cuz she just ran out of time 😂 I have a unique story for Mario in Smash Bros, Widowmaker for Overwatch, and Lucky Chloe for Tekken if u can say she’s my main, since I only got the game 2 weeks ago. It can be as simple as ppl saying they just liked how the character looks or in the case of smash, they like the original game the character is from. But whatever the reason, I find fun in watching people describe their process and kinda smile as they walk through their memories. Everyone comes from somewhere :)

yuyu may not be ranked amongst knee or jdcr but her fights are sure fun to watch.

Pretty cool spotlight. I love your content. As a dad, I find it hard to get better at Tekken due to a lack of time to practice, so I automatically assume that these pro players don't have kids, but seems like I was very wrong. Glad I was wrong, gives me hope.

Thing is I could never get used to these side view fighting games like Tekken, Injustice or Street Fighters for that matter. Maybe in a handheld device. Yuyu's underrated in the west, got a stupid hate train going for her, and a bunch of thirsty fake fans amidst an otherwise very pleasant fanbase. She's hands down my favorite female in the FGC, and is likely the most skilled as well among Tekken females. CuddleCore is better rounded and more tournament-ready so far, but Yuyu at her best is madly capable and entertaining to watch. She's also a wonderful person when you get to know her, and her fanbase don't wank her or trash her rivals, unlike certain other fanbases.
