We should be glad that he is spending his time passing on his great knowledge. He could be at home listening to Heifetz and relaxing. He is a violin nut,in the best possible sense.
Sorry you also found this too. I saw a terrible video of him speaking about 6 months ago. It was about a few Asian countries "not using a metronome" or "not being able to sing". It was truly disappointing to watch and I've lost also respect for this.... well... speaker/violinist.
I play classical music and deeply appreciate musicians but have zero respect for such disgraceful and racist ones. Zukerman must stop making culturally insensitive and ignorant remarks to young musicians who are Asian or Asian descendants.
