We were thrilled to plan Vanessa and Georg’s enchanting wedding in picturesque Portofino.
The pretty seaside idyll, famous for its pastel-coloured buildings and historic harbour, provided the perfect backdrop.
Our couple, from Germany, wanted their guests to feel at home right away.
They kicked off their glorious wedding weekend with a beachside welcome party. Wanting an elegant outdoor ceremony, our couple chose the breath-taking setting of Abbey La Cervara (Abbazia La Cervara).
Perched high on a cliff overlooking the Ligurian Sea, as soon as our couple cast eyes on La Cervara, they knew it was ‘the one’. The Abbey’s ancient garden was staged to perfection with the couple exchanging vows in front of a stunning floral archway adorned with roses, hydrangeas, and delphinium spires.
During the planning, we talked in detail about Vanessa and Georg’s vision for their day, from crafting their dream ceremony to developing a personalised colour scheme. For the ceremony, Vanessa opted for classic white with a deep green accent, harmonising with the natural surroundings.
As day shifted to night, the wedding party moved to the Abbey’s magnificent garden terrace for a glamorous black-tie reception. Vintage chandeliers entwined with scented blooms set the perfect ambience.
The tablescape captured the romance of old-world Italy with bowl upon bowl of pastel flowers - ivory, peach and dusky pink - paired with antique gold candelabras. Jet black tableware and glassware added an elegant, moody undertone.
Nothing beats an amazing wedding party under the stars and our couple took full advantage of the magical atmosphere. Vanessa and Georg opted for a live band and outdoor dance floor, allowing everyone to party until late.
