He went in a jazz club in Las Vegas with all oldies in there dancing together and he just danced on his own ! He loves it !111 He done a weverse last year some time driving around with his song list on he had Frank Sinatra in it all sorts of different genres!

Hey I don't know if anyone has recommended it, but V also acted in a MV from another singer (and friend of his) named IU. The MV is for a song called 'Love Wins All' and it's a really cool visual short story where you can also get to see a bit of his acting too. I personally really loved the storyline and how well he and IU worked together in the fictional universe. He really did a great job in the role (even though he doesn't sing in it). IU's vocals are really pretty too it really adds to the story.

V was in his element in Le Jazz de V! He loves the classic standards and often shares the songs he loves with Army. The Le Jazz was just a surprise for us out of the blue! V plays the piano, saxaphone and recently the trumpet. I knew you would like Fri(end)s! His layers and background voacals were really what got me! Many had their theories for the mv - some saying you can only be happy if you love yourself first. V loves to rap as well and really admires the rap line of BTS.

V loves jazz, Bing Crosby being one of his favorite singers. When he was little he told his dad that he wanted to be a singer so his dad told him that first he should play at least one instrument, that's why he studied saxophone for 3 years, at that stage of his life it was when he met and his love for jazz began.

Velvet, versatile, vocals....the v words lol....that's our V 😂

To me, it meant that he learned to love himself, on his own. Not that he wants to be alone but he's ok with it.

V's love for music is so genuine, in a world where most entertainers commercialize music or Art professionally he does music out of love and passion despite doing the less favorable genre, or taking the non traveled path in KPOP he did great and he is still doing, I love and trust him so much💜💜

If you want more V, my other favorites are Wherever U R with UMI, an independent American R&B singer. She did a lot of his covers and they connected and did a song together. Snowflower is also another great song with PeakBoy, one of his great friend. And Christmas Tree, OST for a k-drama.

You and V made my evening. I remember my Dad listening to Cheek to Cheek when I was a kid and I’m now 77. This brought back good memories . V is my favorite and everything he does is superior in every way. Your reactions are the best.

V’s body of solo work has been full of creativity and artistry and rich in quality. His solo works may not be outright popular to too many people. But they will have longevity in his audience’s memory. In fact those who discover his work after a year or so raved about the surprise they get on how good and versatile, talented and creative he is.

You should watch the IU palette episode - IU is an amazing female Korean singer and V appeared on her show live. She thought he had an amazing voice to duet with because of his range and tone. They sounded fantastic together. He also appeared in her music video Love Wins All which was like a mini film. So good

V (Kim Taehyung) is a HUGE classic jazz fan. He’s always playing Billie, Ella, Bing (the classics) on his lives with us. I think this was a dream of his that he got to execute before he went to the military. I love seeing him so happy. Velvet versatility- I love it. The second song Cheek To Cheek was my late mother's favourite song and I've sung it a number of time's in Jazz Clubs. I Written by Irving Berlin for Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, this song was nominated for an Oscar for Best Song in 1936. Astaire's recording of the song with the Leo Reisman Orchestra was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2000. The song was for the famous film with Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers called Top Hat of course it's in black and white but it's one of my memories as it was my late mother's favourite old Black and White Film. So V singing this song is like heavenly music to my ears.

Most of us cried when V's Jazz video came out cause we finally saw him fully in his element enjoying what he really loves the most, i didn't know he could sing in this tone 💜

Taehyung is a complete package, his voice, his presence in the stage, his charisma, his charming personality, his confidence. He is a magnificent performer and singer. I am waiting his return of military to see him as a songwriter, to me his most unknown facet but it will surely be the brightest. When you talk abt the overall feels of the video, its worth mentioning that BTS really has a good te behind them. Each concept is very well thought upon. Nothing is half baked when it comes to them.

Taehyung was a saxophone major at the arts high school. He studied and loves jazz. He went to a jazz bar with the guys in Vegas, during their last concerts there! He chooses jazz over other genres. He chose a more jazzy/bluesy/R&B album for his first solo album. It’s his heart. 💜

At the age of 18, Taehyung said that he loves jazz and will be performing it for the next 10 or 20 years (And he did this a year and a half ago). Taehyung is really like a paint box. Full of different colors and styles. He enjoys what he is and his music and conveys this enjoyment well to the listeners. He is very reliable.

V loves jazz so I was really excited for his solo bc I expected the jazz elements which he definitely delivered in all the live performances that he did. Also this outfit is kind of casual compared to what he usually wears. My boy was doing bts dance practices in two piece suits 😭 I also love when his voice goes deep like this, it’s just so smooth and satisfying!!

V is such an old soul. His love for jazz and the classics is deep-rooted-he grew up playing the saxophone to enter university and later took trumpet lessons during the pandemic. 'Le Jazz de V' is everything to me as a person who enjoys listening sometimes to some Jazz and as someone who was waiting for covers like these for years! I just think Taehyung's deep voice and tone in general is perfect for this genre of music and also for R&B. Docskim on piano/keyboard, John Sun on guitar, Kim Donghyeon on drum, and bassist Kim Daeho. Fun fact: Docskim regained his passion on music after RM asked him to get involved in the making of album Indigo. And he released an instrumental single: Breather, not long afterwards.

Before le Jazz de V, he released a flawless in home studio video of It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas as a gift… his dog Yeontan was there. It was the most precious thing. I think I even love it more than this version.

He has been a student of jazz since he was young. He loves that genre so much. 💜

one thing I like about V's musical performances (dunno the real term, totally a layman) is that he allows instruments to shine. This is so rare among pop singers. Like Scar Tissues by Red Hot Chili Peppers or Down by the River. The instruments are legit! You need to have class to be so confident, to be not so about you but a good performance.

This man could’ve been the first Asian rat packer with Sinatra, Sammy, and Dean way back in the day. K-pop had no clue how to use his amazing voice for a long time

for the friends mv, you see these two contrasting realities. in one, you see lonely V around all the happy couples, while in the second reality he is the one in a relationship and so blissfully happy that everyone’s issues seem inexistent. in both realities, he ends up being hit by a car so it seems like he hasn’t found the right outcome for him. the last scene where he wakes up next to himself might be this message of “first you need to love yourself”, but it also could be the two V’s (lonely v and happy v) meeting and realizing there needs to be a balance between knowing how to be with oneself and in love too.

Taehyung was actually a sax player himself even before he got into BTS, so his musicality has stemmed since his youth :)

V did a Weverse live listening to jazz and he got mad at the fandom….someone told him it sounded like a buzzing mosquito…scoulded us that someone spent time writing the music, turned it back on and had to stop shaking his head. I could just as easily see him hanging out with Oscar Wilde in the 1890s, performing at the Cotton Club with Ella in the 20s or 30s, or crooning with Bing (or Frank and the Rat Pack) in the 50s. "It's Beginning to Look a Lot like Christmas" was from 1951, and both Perry Como and Bing Crosby recorded versions in that year, Johnny Mathis did it in '86, and Michael Buble covered it in 2012. V's band for this was incredible... arranger and guitarist John Eun (who collabed with RM on two songs on Indigo), pianist DOCSKIM (one of Big Hit's brilliant producers), jazz bassist Dae-ho Kim, and drummer Donghyun Kim. The female vocalist was Minna Seo (who graduated from Seoul Institute of the Arts, and before this was best known for being on a survival show), and I REALLY hope we hear more from her, because she's fantastic.
