This is straight up inspiring. Well done, dude, totally using some of these designs. (Actually I'll probably get carried away and reproduce the whole thing.) :D
@@OnFirePF yah I'm really getting into the castle building aspect of the game. Loved your use of space in this good, btw. Didn't feel cramped, great layout.
This looks so amazing!! The attention to detail is top notch. Was able to grab the save file from your most recent video, now I'm able to explore as much as I want :) Thank you so much for including floor plans and for being so helpful to everyone in the comments, you're a life saver!! Looking forward to seeing any future builds you have :)
Oh thank you for your sweet comment ! I'm glad that you could use the save file, i was not sure if it would work or not. Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I'll upload another build next weekend.
Man I love all your designs but I'd love to see a 1.0 version of this one or maybe one in the bottom right of Silverlight...both are huge plots and with the 1.0 update, so much potential! (Just wish I was better with design.)
Oh dang, I tried to use your castle design with the new Silverlight domain, but halfway through, it just didn't work. Sadly, a lot of the terrain has changed. This is still one of the best castle builds out there, but unfortunately, it is now obsolete. Good job, though!
@@jerry19244 I think so. Right now I'm building in the snow biome. But maybe when I'll be done, I'll look forward to upgrade the Silverlight Domain to an 1.0 version.
Yeah, I want to build again. But for the moment, I really have a lot of work, and not so much time to play a lot. But I'll definitely rebuild a castle on this spot.
i've built this castle 4 times now on separate servers and every time i do I always notice a detail i've missed after rewatching the video. This most recent time, I feel like I finally have the castle 100% feature complete.
trying to do the indoor garden area but every time i complete the room, a roof spawns over where the plants grow. does there need to be trees there? or would that even matter?
Someone else asked me this question too. Between the terrace and the innner garden don't put a door frame here. Just delete the door frame, and the whole inner garden area will be considered as an open space, and no roof will spawn.
i planted some trees and waited for them to grow, i then completed the room again, but a roof still spawned over where the plants grow. so for the time being, i removed some of the flooring in front of one of the doors and that seemed to do the trick.
oof. wish i read the video description before starting. 598 tiles when the server that i'm playing on has a 420 tile limit. (server admin never logs in either).
@@Andy32410 Wait this weekend, i'll upload a new video, and i'll put a link to download my game file, you will have this castle in, and my others recent builds.
@@OnFirePF thanks for the reply. I went ahead and made a server and adjusted the build limit on it as well as a few other things that were bugging me in the last server i was playing on. about the indoor garden, i did think "what if i used those Invisible Foundations on the second level, but i'm not sure if there would be enough tile slots available to do it. maybe if I sacrificed the grave yard tiles and just left the grave yard "as is" with all the graves - i think it could be possible. also looking forward towards your next video.
I actually have 20 servant coffins. 16 in the crypt, and 4 in the throne hall. This is a private game with custom settings, so I can have a lot more things available. You can see I'm lvl 88 too per example. 😉
Hey, man, congratulations on the creation! It looks simply awesome! I had one little question for you, if you don't mind. How did you manage to build a Wall on top of a Wall for the throne room with no floor connecting over to their area? And how did you manage to do the indoor garden trick in the throne room? I mean the one for not spawning a roof so we're able to maintain the 1st floor free view of the scenery below. Thanks, buddy! Have a good one.
In the throne hall, you have to use invisible foundations for the floor above the throne. It's in the foundation menu, completely to the right. With that you can build walls on the 2nd floor. For the inner garden, there is a gap between the terrace and the innner garden. Here don't build a door, don't put a door frame, just make a gap in your wall, so the entire garden is considered as an open space, so you don't have to use invisible foundations this time.
@@OnFirePF Thaaaaaaaaaank you so much! I had no idea we had this feature! And my wife is now calling me dumb for not knowing about it... We're building our castle taking inspiration from things we saw in yours! It's in a normal server though, so we're having to make some compromises to fit the 420/420 tile limit... Anyway, Thanks a lot, buddy, you're the best!
This is so inspiring . I take too many ideas and I hope soon you are goin to do the one that located on southwest of sliver light (the big one ) Ty bto keep doing what you love
You mean, building outside the territory ? No, nothing can remove that I think. Unless you are a dev. But I did modify my ServerGameSettings file to adjust some settings. I set the tile limit to 1200, Height to 10, and Castle Heart to 20. So I can build 20 castles in my game, with a height limit of 10 and I can build up to 1200 tiles per castle. For the height limit, the max height you can have is 10, ground level + 9 floors. It's the absolute world limit, you can't go higher. BUT! It's not possible to have 9 floors everywhere on every plots because not every plot start at the same height.
@@OnFirePF Thank you! I couldn't find it for the life of me. If you wouldn't mind answering another question, how do you keep the inner garden from getting a ceiling covering it? I tried using the invisible floor tiles but I ran out of tiles, so I assume you're keeping a wall somewhere open to keep the ceiling from spawning? I didn't use doors on the second floor walkway to keep the ceiling from spawning over the master vault balcony, so I didn't have to use invisible tiles on the second floor ceiling. I still ran out of space though, and I want to delete the invisible tiles on the first floor ceiling and I'm not sure what you did to keep them from spawning.
NEVERMIND I found the gate door. You have a gate at the terrace entrance that goes to the first floor inner garden, and that doesn't count as a wall. Missed it my first few watches
Yes this is exactly that ! I didn't build a door frame between the terrace and the inner garden, so the whole garden is considered as an open space, and not a closed one. As so no ceiling is spawn, and you save a lot of tiles ! Honestly, invisible foundations should not be considered as buit tiles. Hope Stunlock will do something about that. And i'm really honored you build the castle for yourself ! ♥ Thank you.
Wow! This was amazing. All the creativity and details. Very beautiful! This castle build is from now on my main goal in the PVE closed server I´m in xD (And I just got excited yesterday by finally researching red chairs) xD Keep it up!
This is Masterful!! Beautiful build!! How did you create the layout's at the end? Is that some kind of website/tool to make those or is it all photoshop?
Thank you ! I did it with illustrator and photoshop (i'm a graphist). I don't know if there is a website for doing that, pretty sure there isn't. Thank you again, i'm glad you liked the build !
absolutely beautiful layout dude, quick question, how do you get your thralls where they are? my guys seem to just want to wander wherever they like. is there some secret or is it just waiting until they wander in then locking the door behind them
Thank you! You have the servant lock door that servants can not open. If you want some specific servants in specific area of your castle, you just have to build some servant lock door, then you bring the servant coffin and you summon them wherever you want.
Thank you! Yeah this is a cool place to build. I try to not make it too bright when i'm on the ligth part. I like warm lights, cozy ambience. I'll post 2 more builds soon. Hope you will watch them too.
That's a good question. I had to first connect the tiles, making a path to the end of the vineyard, then delete the non-necessary tiles. But you can still put things on like furnitures, growing plots etc, cause it's still in your territory, but you can not make walls.
@@novemberproductionz I have a lot of work at the moment and so I don't play a lot right now. I need to finish my current build first. And then, I think I'll do an update on the Silverlight Domain..
I think i can do that. But you'll have to wait a bit, I have to make 2 new videos first. And then i'll put a link to the save file in description, and you will have 3 castles for the price of one. 🙂
