For the next few weeks i will be showing some of my vintage razors to hopefully inspire others to take up wet shaving.
Not just vintage straight razors but other DE and SE razors in my personal collection. These razors inspired me to try them and hopefully it will inspire you one day.
V10 Personal razor collection The National Number 51.
If anyone has any information about this maker, i would be very interested as i can't find much info on the internet. Unlike Gillette, this maker is almost unknown.

Cheers Peg Leg !!! When i bought it from a Flea market it was a bit tarnished, but i placed it in a bowl, covered it in Bicarb of soda, then added vinegar, left it for a few minutes and added really hot water from the kettle. It bubbled up like a volcano and cleaned all the tarnish and crap off it. A bit of metal polish after and it came up like a new pin. Brilliant little razor and so smooth. 😃 Great quality leather case and all. Perfect travel razor.👌

Proraso is my fav. so far, but I am anxious to try some of the Stirling soaps. There are so many options, it makes wetshaving fun and pleasurable in the morning. ~cheers

On warm humid days/mornings, i do like the Proraso Green for the Menthol qualities and the Pine of the Pino Sylvestre...very refreshing start to the day.

That's a lovely piece of kit. I think they actually improved on the Old Gillette razor which is renowned for cracked handle tubes.

@@pixsellpix No sir. Yours is the only one I have ever seen. I doubt I will ever see one first hand. The closest I am ever likely to get is a 1920's Gillette brownie (3 piece pocket razor with case), which is on my wish list.
