Eventhough sorabji was english, and allegedly considered himself as a Sicilian, he can't refuse his influence of indian parsi or Persian music, it comes along with him btw, I've now become a practising atheist I could sense the grandiosity that what sorabji meant to be god or homage to it, can't really know that was sorabji a theist
