It's really rare that I'll watch even half of a 30 minute video. But I always watch yours front to back. Very well done. I've done a bit of that camera chasing/forwarding that you do and it's a lot of work. You put a lot of effort into these and it shows. And no Patraeon (sp) begging....that's just icing on the cake. Your 9 mile trail, probably was about 11 or 12 miles due to all your back and forth camera shoots. That's a LOT of work. Thanks for a beautiful video!

I wouldn't worry about your paint job is just written in memory on your vehicle. I had a good friend go to Canada for moose hunting and he had a full-size truck with a camper he also came home with plenty of scratches due to narrow trails. Thanks for the great adventure because of my disability I would never be able to see this stuff otherwise. Exploring is so great and did much of it as a Boy Scout and with my grandparents who had an RV.

As someone who is originally from Nfld and now living in NS I love watching your videos. I have travelled in many of the same places. brings back great memories and smiles.🚒

Oh … lucky you! Timed it just right to find the 2 weeks of good weather in Newfoundland. ;-) Twillingate, Gros Morne & King's Point were the highlights when I was there, back in 2015. At King's Point, I was fortunate to see an ice berg that came right down to the fishing village. I woke up with a view of it from my RV. I also took my kayak for a spin, from a beach at Twillingate - that was fun. Cheers, Steve

Chris Just wanted to take a moment to thank you for your videos. As a couple my wife and I take our camper and Jeep and go to places like the ones you are visiting. Of course we can’t disperse camp into the tight places you get, but we get away as far as we can to find pure natural locales and the sound of the earth without the noise of people and their trapping of civilization. We look forward to your videos each week. Especially appreciated are several things. 1) Limited talk and the real sounds of off-roading. 2) No music (that many videographers mistakenly think enhances their work) 3) Good camera work without shakiness (the bane of modern movies) 4) A photographer’s eye - your choice of spots shows your compositional skills. Flowers to majestic sunsets. 5) Your obvious love for the outdoors and appreciation for people. Nice guys can do well in this world. Keep up the good work. We were there last month from NJ and it was just awesome. We also camped where you were in twillingate. That place has got some spectacular sunsets.

I used to spray the exterior of my desert combat boots with water repellent spray. It actually did a good job of keeping mud off. Obviously they had to be sprayed every 6 months.

If you go again, you can take the Burgeo road that leads to a road just off the highway that will take you through the middle of the province and into Buchan's over unmanaged roads and along Red Indian Lake. Buchan's is about 30 mins from Badger :)

At the trailhead I always take a picture of the map they post I use it for reference if needed it has came in handy on some hikes

Stumbled across your video. Glade you enjoyed my home town of Twillingate. Grew up in that lighthouse .My Dad was the light keeper. Most of the back roads you travel are only used by moose hunters now . ,👍

When I see this & last week's video, I have to say Lucky bugger on your visit to my home province. I drove across the Island in 2001 and would do it again tomorrow. Don't forget to go to the top of Signal Hill and take the trail around the hill. You won't regret it.

You just keep heading east towards the end of the province, you'll probably still see some ice. St. Anthony, Newfoundland usually has some hanging out lol. I lived there a few months.

@Chris … Canada has three neighbours, the United States, Greenland (Denmark) and France. Yes, France. They have two islands just off the southcentral coast of NFLD called St. Pierre & Miquelon. You can take a ferry across and visit France and get your passport updated as such.

Your videos are exhausting. I watch. I like. Still EXHAUSTING.

In your last video you visited Corner Brook, location of the now-lost "Sticks and Stones House". We video taped our walk through it including interviews with the family. The house and artwork is now gone but our video is available at some Canadian government history site and may be the only existing record of that particular piece of Newfie folkart. Most of our trip in the video, stuff that might be boring, but it's here for those looking: (it's at 31:15 in the video) collections.mun.ca/cdm/singleitem/collection/folkvideo/id/0/rec/1 We pull into the Berry Hill campground at the very end of May to find it not yet open. While we're sitting in the truck trying to figure out what to do, a Parks Canada truck pulls up, opens the gate for us,. bulldozes out some snow from a campsite, opens the bathroom building and turns on the water. All for us. We took the hike that you did around the pond and when we got back there were several other campers there as well. But the key was, there was still a foot or more of snow on the ground! The next day we dropped a bunch of mushrooms with the expectation that we'd take a hike to see Gros Morne lake because everyone we met said we *had* to see it. So we park and hike in and while we're tooling around in there we find a small house with a launch and a boat and guy asks, "Gonna take the boat tour?" We didn't know about any boat or tour but we were altered and agreed to give it a shot. For eleven miles that boat travels into the fjord and I have never seen such grandeur. On the boat with us was a 5th grade school class and a couple on their honeymoon from North Carolina who ever spoke to anyone though we did try to make conversation. The school kids and teachers had a lot to say and as the end while the loud speakers were playing some local fiddle music a dancing circle formed around the wheel house. We had a really nice time. When we got back to our car hours later the battery was dead and it wasn't 10 minutes before a Park Canada truck pulls up and the guy gets out with jumper cables. How did he know? He had driven by in the morning and saw our truck parked with the headlights on and knew about what time people on the boat tour would be getting back so me remembered and... there he was. A week later at Trout River campground we pulled up to the gate and it was closed. While we sat there trying to figure out what to do, a guy, 132 years old, comes driving up from town in a trashed, but vintage blue Pontiac, probably the same car he'd owned for 40 years, and pushes the gate open and says, "If they didn't want you in there they would have locked the gate." We pulled in, took the best campsite and set up. A couple of kids came up on dirtbikes and we hung out with them for a while. They'd never met Americans before so that was cool. The next morning I walk out to the entrance gate to see if anyone was there, trying to pay for the previous night, money the lady wouldn't take because they 'weren't open just yet'. We found Newfoundland, the land as rugged as the people, to have been the best place we'd ever traveled and we've been around. I'm happy you were able to experience the same thing.
