Nice review. I'm glad to see that they're taking the criticism and using that to make changes to their lightsabers. Good to see that they did that and they care about their products. You shouldn't have that wobble though, you could use tape around the bottom of the chassis end to soften that rattle. Or if the chassis is long enough, to put a grommet(or tissue paper or cotton balls) at the bottom of the pommel to absorb it that way. I'm guessing they may be able to take care of that issue too. Old base lit sellers had problems like that and some inventive people did work arounds to solve those problems.
On the original designs, I removed the core and wrapped electrical tape above and below the button. Easy fix. I was also thinking a strip of foam tape on the battery would work too. Get it nice and snug inside the grip.

@firehellrain Luckily, my saber is fine. It does have some rattling now which seems to be unfixable, though. You're paying much cheaper than usual for a neopixel, so somethings gonna be up. Unlike a proper reseller, SABNEO just chucks their stuff in a box with a bit of loose foam and they call it a day, just feels like you've ordered from Temu. SABNEO is pretty much well known for being a gamble and unreliable, so you only really want to buy from them if you're that desperate for a cheap neopixel. I guess in my case I have been lucky. Even then, I was desperate for my first neopixel for cheap, and now I'm wishing for different. Next time I'm just going to buy from Padawan Outpost since I'm in the UK.
@@randomnamejpg thanks for the detailed reply! Sorry to hear that you had a problem with yours, I'll be praying the one I ordered comes in one piece. I shall give my feedback once it arrives! It is my first saber so I wanted to go for something cheap, hope I won't be regreting my choice.
I got a new one, well 2 actually and both are not in line when I tighten them up fully… I still have a little rattle on one of them and the blade on one is rattle still too.
I noticed they put an o-ring on the threading of the hilt to have it line up better. As for the blade, they must be using the wrong size of foam tubing in their sabers. I'm going to contact them and let them know. Reach out to them too about your blade and your misaligned hilt. If it's just off center by a little bit then an o-ring will fix that.
@@thefrugaljedi yeah I had the oring on one of them but that just meant the chassis unscrewed really easy even during use. I have already had to contact them because the one saber had the old 2.0 soundboard in it, after seeing your video I am now just thinking they sent me an old 2.0 and a new 2.0 😩 they are sending me a replacement soundboard so will have to see how that goes and message them again about the blade.
@@thefrugaljedi I double checked, no light at all. Even in a pitch black room nothing lights up. No cut out for a hole either as was thinking maybe they just forgot to install the LED.
if i were to get the revised edition, is it the "SABNEO V8 PIXEL 2.0 ALPHA"? asking cause... what happened to the old ones? i wanna get it but i dont want to have the old version since it has those problems
They all use the same soundboard now so the only differences would be that this is one button instead of two and the difference in hilt design. As for blade brightness, I haven't seen an Imperial Workshop saber in person so I couldn't say. The sabneo pixel blade is bright. I find it to be the same brightness as my other blades from different companies.
Hey there, just a quick question. I’m looking to buy this as my first neopixel lightsaber but want to do so from Amazon. I’ve found this (SABNEO V8 Pixel 2.0 Alpha) on amazons website but wanted to ask if there’s anyway to know which version I’ll be getting if I purchase it? By that I mean the older model or the revised version shown in the video. Because it’s not directly through their site I’m worried that it won’t have updated, and it will be the older edition. Just wanted to know if they stopped selling the older version entirely and begun selling the new, so when I purchase this lightsaber through Amazon I’ll still be getting the most up to date saber. Any help would be great! Thanks 🤘
I'm not sure. Best bet would be to contact the seller on Amazon. Warning though, I'm seeing a lot of quality issues from other customers when they've received their Sabneo saber. I've been trying to get in contact with them to let them know but haven't heard back.

I sent a message to Sabneo through Instagram showing your comment. I'm just waiting for them to reply. I'd rather they tell me than me telling you "Yes". This way, if for whatever reason they screw up, I'll have a record.
@@thefrugaljedi Positive. I am an audio engineer by trade. The files on your sabers are WAV but contain the quality of an MP3. It’s like if you transfer a VHS tape to a DVD it still looks like a VHS tape. The companies who are making these files are probably finding them on RU-vid and using a low bit rate MP3 converter and then converting them to WAV so the file extension can be read by the saber

Was worried for a second that they were gonna stick the charge port straight on the bottom and block off the speaker a bit. Seen that on something a day or two ago, and that's a big no. Cool they got all this done and fixed and meanwhile another company is still letting us all wait for updates to fix their sounds. Ignoring issues makes it hard for me to want to do business with them. 😒
@@thefrugaljedi TXQ. Been quite a long minute with the accent swing issue and have seen no updates for it. So props to Sabneo here actually fixing stuff.
@@thefrugaljedi it's the issue it's always been for me with accent swings not playing fully as they should. Like proffie and Xeno, once triggered, they play the full sound file. The SNV4 just stops the playback in the middle of a sound effect if you stop your swing. Maybe a bit less noticeable for canon fonts, but so much non-canon stuff sounds like total ass. It's so bad and so far haven't seen any firmware updates through the app. Edit - also just seen this on reddit from someone at Stardust Sabers. "I'd have to check a recent SN-V4 saber compared to the firmware from March. The accent swing tweaking was supposed to be released along with the major app revamp which is delayed. But I feel like on recent SN-V4 builds, where they tend to just sneak in whatever updated firmware they have, the accent swings aren't as noticeably sharp compared to before." So, it's not just me. They're just behind on this and an app update it seems, but they should have done this one and just delayed the app. Also confirms what I kind of suspected that they have updated firmware on newer sabers but don't bother sending it through the app. 😩😩
@@bluebomber81 Since the Forcepark app is also used by Hanling for the boards, I doubt we'll ever see firmware pushed through it. Did you get the latest firmware from my Google Drive?
