@lscansir cured any idiot can buy a corvette these cars stock are also reliable even Scotty Kilmer reviewed one and said it was reliable, the old BMWs are more reliable than the newer ones and some of us in Europe can’t afford to feed a 7.0L v8 becuz you will go broke doing so
That rear end would definitely blow up if you actually dumped the clutch at the stop light properly, must have known lol. Beautiful car, that kit seems sick. Only thing I could not agree with is the seats and those 1 piece headlights.
This BMW definitely seems like it's a total driver's car!! Awesome video, Shawn keep up the great content! I really appreciate the work that yall do in making these videos happen.
Yeah, and the seats... I don’t get why you’d put aftermarket seats with even less bolstering in. I guess if you just want a highway missile that never hits a fast corner, these will be fine.
I love how stock it looks. Personally I would have sourced all of the interior and exterior parts from the European M3 Evo including the Motorsport diamond finished wheels. Kept all the interior in it too.
E36 M3 LS swapped? Considering we, in North America, got shafted hard on this car back in the day I see nothing at all wrong with it. I really don’t understand why anyone would either. So what? It’s a BMW. There’s nothing all that amazing about them.
Nothing wrong with LS swapping it but you’re wrong about nothing being amazing about the e36. It’s one of the best handling chassis ever made. Go to any track day or club race and I guarantee you will find a ton of e36s.
Really awesome build save for one thing, the seats. I don't know if the old ones were shot or what but they're worth saving or getting a new set. That's one thing they got right with the American E36 M3.
The Ls1 has “VaRiaBle VAlvE tIMiNg” too. It’s called the engine jammed the fucking ancient pushrod so hard at 1500rpms it didn’t need it. Have fun rebuilding your V-tec... fuck sorry vanos.
@@ihatez28ilovez32 ls1 does not. No LSX engines have it, only truck versions of the LSX (and the g8 gt also has it. There might be a camaro that also has it but only with certain transmissions)
_Buy once, cry once._ Words to live by. I wanted to stomp that little Prius @9:36. 😄 That engine and exhaust symphony is epic! Loving this build, man. The swap is brilliant in that platform and it fits like a glove.
The first time I think you smoked the clutch, the second time you spun the wheels. Don't be afraid, if you're going to do it, DO IT. Don't be gingerly and smoke the clutch.
LS is a great idea for about any vehicle. They probably should`ve kept the original BMW airbox though. It could perform better. Not talkin`bout using a single exhaust pipe - that`s not worth a trade for a sleeper look. Seats are complete rubbish, no match for stock. The shift knob just don`t fit the interior, that`s an example of a bad taste IMHO. The rest looks great. The owner should use ceramic coating to preserve nice color.
I love Boston green on an E36 M3. I have never cared for those one piece aftermarket headlights, though. I love my E36 M3, and have thought about an LS swap. Maybe down the road. Would definitely change the character a bit...lol. With the LS all aluminum and the S52 an iron block, I can see where that makes for a good swap weight-wise.
What an amazing car for the money, as is the case with so many other LS swapped cars. Lots of people hate on them but it’s tough to argue the numbers, 200 pounds lighter and twice the power, no brainer.
Is it me or is there white smoke coming out of the exhaust everytime they show a clip? Hope not. Love the car. I always had a thing for the buttery smooth inline 6 that came in these stock but like how it keep it clean looking.
That would do it for me too man. Although a 90's 7 series with an ls would be even more perfect. I like bmw's but its the reliability factor that's kept me from owning one
One piece ebay headlight/blinker combo.... car is only worthy of a drive to the junkyard after that mod... wtf were they thinking... they do know the blinkers wont fall out if they zip tie them right? sad..
The E36 is lowkey the best handling rwd-fe car ever built and you can get a mint one for 5k. Sell the bmw powertrain to an E30 guy then put a lightweight LS for 10k including supporting mods. Amazing budget track car.
Nice...So come again, it’s an M3 with what in it? LOL. Guess it makes sense, BMW wheels will often fit on Chevies too, due to the bolt pattern...way too cool!
Great car, great swap......i'd love to own this... The one thing i don't get is why would you double the power in a nice handling car, then fit seats with no bolstering.....?
