Great review! Does this have some sort of noise cancellation feature built into? For context, I am planning to connect a speaker box (not a headphone) along with a microphone and some background music. Much like a live karaoke. Would this cause a noisy feedback loop?
Thanks. I can’t see a noise canceling on this unit that I have. For karaoke set up, yes connecting a big speaker is ideal. Just use a long cord or extension on the microphone so it’s not close to the speaker as it will feedback.
Thank you for this incredible familiarisation to the quite complex V8! The sample of your recording was superb!! I have a different model minus the level indicators and the 3 red slider controls, just the vanilla V8 you have used in other videos. Is it possible by pressing the "Electro" key to change the pitch of the "Background Track" to match a singer's vocal range? I am informed by the lady advisor that the Electro key at each press changes the pitch from B to C to C# to D to D#, etc, but I did not notice the pitch of the background track actually change at all. Am I doing something wrong, have I missed any step? Pitch adjustment, you as a singer will agree is such an important feature. Thanks.

Questions: 1.what condenser mic are you using? 2.does it work with v8s or you have it connected somewhere else? 3.what condenser mics do you recommend for v8s soundcard that has noise reduction for untreated rooms?
It’s an electret condenser mic which does not need an external Phantom power like bm 800 mic. That comes in a set in this video. Mic is connected directly to the v8s. Most of the bm800 mic should work. Sorry I’m not expert on good kinds of mic.

If you already tried setting the tape or record volume up and still won’t record all the effects then Most likely it’s the adapter issue. Even if you follow everything, if you’re using the wrong adapter, you will only hear all the effects but will not work for Recording or Streaming. I got my adapter from Apple Store

It depends on the mic. There are condenser mic which are corded with 3.5mm jack. Please note not all condenser mic works like Rode NT1A, Shure SM7B. BM 800 condenser mic works

Do I need to have another device other than my phone to get the sound card working/to hear my recording and the effects. Right now I only have it connected to the phone. Are the headsets and iPad a must to be connected
The other device is the source of music. If you don't need a music you can use 1 device only. IF you use Starmaker or Smule you can use only 1 device. To monitor the audio, connect it from the V8S. In this video, I used the iPad as a source of music

I'm not sure if I'm getting what you mean. If you meant you can hear from your headphone but no audio on the recording, yes that is possible. First make sure TAPE or RECORD volume is on high. If you had set it on high and still no audio recorded, then most likely it's the phone adapter issue. I bought of my USB C and lightning adapter from the apple store coz adapter I bought somewhere else did not work.
Hello. Do you need to have a phone to use AS WELL as an iPad or can you use just the iPad. Is the phone only used to create a visual video. If you just want to record sound, you only need the iPad?

Not all android phones are compatible. You may try first connecting from live 1 or 2 off the sound card to the headphone port of your phone. The rest would be same connection as in this video.

Use the micro usb to usb type A to connect from v8s charging port to your pc. Select v8s as your input and output on the pc sound setting. Now you can monitor the audio from the v8s - to can connect headphone or speaker from the v8s
Thanks Jenuds great job in teaching how to do this, I am a singer and have never had any professional recording done with sound effects like echo and reverb etc. I just ordered this unit from Amazon after watching your wonderful video, one question can some how the out put be connected to a home audio receiver or amplifier to listen to on big speakers your singing live infront of an audieance once you have connected your microphone and song or kareoke you want to sing over, Kindly respond if you know how to do this and what gaget is needed as output to the amp or have to connect the computer or PC to the amplifier etc. Best Regards Asaad from NJ, USA.

My main question is do you have to charge the V8 before using it? How long does it take to charge? Then can you unlog the charging cable it and still works
I charged it just now and it took about an hour but it wasn’t lowbat when I changed it. So I can’t really tell you how long exactly it’ll take. When you get it, you can use it right away. But if the sound card has zero battery then you have to charge it first before using. It has a built rechargeable battery so you can use it without the cord connecting to a power source.

If your BT adapter connected with your wireless headset, then it should work. But if you’re connecting a BT headphone or BT speaker, you will need a BT wireless transmitter.

In this specific video, I used an iPhone so I used a lightning adapter for iOS device. I used adapter from apple store not all adapter works if purchased somewhere else.

I am very late but I'm hoping you see this... are some android phones not compatible at all? Ive watched all your videos.. downloaded the open camera app... NOTHING is recording anything from the soundcard. Im using my phones headphone jack, and the trss cable they provided.. everything else is connecting well.. i just cant get the sound to go into my phone!
Use the micro usb to usb A - connect micro usb to the Charge or charging port of the V8 sound card and the other end (the usb A) to a power source like a block you use for charging you phone or gadgets at your home, or you can use a portable charger or you can connect to a laptop.
There is hissing sounds. Besides I believed there are different manufacturers for V8 as I tested other V8 and they have different audio output. Focusrite is good for recording with a DAW so a bit complicated for recording or streaming. V8 is very convenient to use for recording or streaming.
This is so helpful. I am curious though, because I tried using mine yesterday on my TikTok live, and I noticed that my viewers didn't hear the background music, does this only work when you are recording or does it also work on livestreams? I had to connect to a speaker for my viewers to hear the music, which can be annoying for my family, and I was hoping that I didn't have to use the speaker so that I don't make noise for my family and my neighbours when I go live. The sound effects are kind of hard to hear too when I connect with a speaker. Any advice for me?

Yes I don’t use speakers on live streaming. Did you use a laptop to stream by chance? Or phone? Are you able to record no problem? I ask coz it could be the adapter issue.
@@jenuds I used my iPhone to do the TikTok live and an android to play background music and I plugged the android on the accompany options then the iPhone on the live1 option. I didn’t use my laptop though.
That sounds right. That should work without a laptop. It’s just that different setting using a laptop. Did it work when you tried recording only or did it record both music and vocals with effects? Coz if not, lightning adapter is the issue.
It’s hard to answer that coz some music are loud from you tube. It depends how close you are to the mic. Try setting your Tape, mic, music volume at 3 o’clock. If you don’t like echoey audio then select MC and select how much echo you want to use, but if you the opposite then select either Sing or professional. It also depends the kind of mic you will use as some mic could be louder or quieter.
