This week, VA guaranteed its 28,000,000th home loan, providing Veterans with unprecedented access to housing.
VA helps Veterans, service members, and eligible surviving spouses become homeowners. VA provides home loan guaranty benefits and other housing-related programs to help buy, build, repair, retain, or adapt homes for personal occupancy.
VA Home Loans are provided by private lenders, such as banks and mortgage companies. VA guarantees a portion of the loan, enabling the lender to provide service members, Veterans, and eligible surviving spouses with more favorable terms.
