I'm a vacation brochure junkie! We stop at every Visitor's Center when on the road, so this was great to see -- especially as we are going on a road trip from No CA to Idaho next week, and I've been contemplating how to incorporate the brochures into my travel journal. Thanks so much Anne. This was a great idea.

Ann, this is genius!!! I’m going to do this and even though I could envision both closures I’m also thinking about one using a magnet closure maybe hidden under a scrap or a ticket or some ephemera that doesn’t detract from the art work. Thanks for this practical idea!

Always great ideas. The telephone book is ephemera of the future for sure😂i love the yapping. I learn so much😊❤i like the second closure the best😊

This is a great idea to use and incorporate those vacation brochures. I've saved so many brochures and in fact probably have the Silver Falls one like yours. LOL TFS❤

Such a fun idea! I think that it would be great to share making these with children, especially if they were on the trip too! Great way for them to start journaling. By the way, Conservation Corps still exist. I worked at one in California. There was a charter school attached to it. The Corp members could earn their GED, and learn job skills that would help them find employment when they graduated. The organization had a contract to maintain a large National Park nearby..clearing brush, trimming trees, etc. Just wanted to share. ❤

Oh, Claire, that's so interesting to know - thank you so much for sharing! I always assumed it was a Roosevelt-era program only, but how good to know it's still out there improving public lands and gaining valuable skills. I wish I knew more about specifically where my father-in-law worked, but he apparently wasn't one to talk about many details from the past. Thanks, as always, for watching and engaging in our fun projects here!

In a good way of course! 😃 I just finished up a batch of faux vellum items like what you taught recently. I didn't have any white paper napkins, so I substituted white tissue paper. It worked nicely. 😊
