I am a vet student , i might ve mentioned that in one of my earlier comments, the reason for me to mention my career choice is because i see a lot of calves on a daily basis but these calves are really good looking the confirmation and hip disposition nearly perfect and also they look really healthy and clean. I bet it's beacuse of the natural grazing they ve had in the open prairie . This is the reason vets recommend ppl with cow calf operations to ve pasture so the calves can move around without all the mud and slew , so their full genetic potential of size and composition is attained . U guys are really doing it the right way . Makes me real happy.
Nice looking cattle, guys. Theres another good ranching/farming channel out of Mt Vernon, SD called Sonne Farms. You guys make great videos up there. Hope to see more. 👍🏻
Good looking blacks! I enjoy the calm, quiet way you work your stock. Pays off because when you were moving the herd, the lead cows were eating from your wife's hand. Good job!
7 & 8 weight calves coming right off mama! Your South Dakota grass packs a lot more punch than our Nebraska grass. Obviously genetics play a huge part too. A lot of years have gone into making a set of calves like these.
