Hey everybody! Today is a a very special day! This video marks a 3 month project of discovering and learning the history of Fantom Technologies from the early days of Iona to the bankruptcy that led their demise. This video could not be possible without the help of Jared Martinson who helped me obtain some of these machines, so a big big thank you to him! This will be a little different video in that I will be going over several machines with a couple run demos at the end brought to us by Jared. Excellent video! I just wanted to say that I saw Tana Swanson (One of the ladies featured in the Cyclone XT infomercial) on the news a couple of weeks ago and unfortunately her business was lost in the fire. They were interviewing her about the fire in Hawaii and she mentioned she had lost her business. I was surprised to see her on TV but then remembered she was living in Hawaii when the Cyclone XT video was filmed.

Really enjoyed this video - learnt a lot. I have a Fantom Fury (120 volts) in my collection. I have literally no idea what the hell it is doing in the UK but I'm glad to have it. I also have a Fantom Cyclone XT but it is branded as a Westinghouse. Very strange machine, I know almost nothing about it. I believe it was a special edition for possibly a catalogue but yeah, who knows!

Ah yes! The Westinghouse Wired Uprights! They were basically a private labeled Fantom sold in different catalog and store locations as a bagless option in the early 2000s. Very rare to see them even today as they didn’t sell well. The Fury is a great machine! I’d love to find another or one with a different amperage motor to test their performance.
