It's pretty common thing :D I do it too, because I had a really bad situation some years ago. I was playing with my band and my stick just flew 20 metres away haha :D And I didn't have another one, so our basist had to get it from the fans ;) That was really funny...

reigninblood L at first I thought they were speed cobras, but if you pause at 0:41 you can see that distinctive black line around the edge of the pedal. definitely 9000s.
