At the moment, this drummer is being the best since Fredrik Andersson because he is doing the same that was recorded and respecting the old music composition. The previous drummers, especially the last one, Lars, are good as well and fast but, in my opinion, changed to worst the structure of the music and this became the song a bit unpleasant to listen, especially the Baptism By Fire music. What I liked on Fredrik Andersson is the creativity with the cymbals. Speed is not the only feature that becomes the drum amazing and Fredrik Widigs understand that.
Fantino Angelo I completely agree with you. This guy played like in the records and Lars was amazing but way too fast like a drummer Belphegor would have.
I agree with you, and whats worse is that their new drummer is very guilty of the same thing. Changing the structures, ad libbing, etc. Simon is a great drummer but not a good fit for Marduk.
Legion is a very good vocalist but far from Marduk's spirit. Mortuus was able to bring a different aggression with vocal and scenic level innovations that allowed this group to evolve. to finish, Mortuus is a very good musician who even alone was able to impose in the Swedish black metal scene !!! so when we look at longevity ... the results are there and should not be forgotten or denigrated.
I do not like the camera down on the pedal, remove the effect at the camera on the pedal, then the normal recording, do not put effect pes to the camera distorts the image on the pedal, otherwise excellent video
I like Fredrik pretty much but if I compare this guy and the drummer before him,Lars, He would've eaten his sticks and hamburger whilst playing this song.
This guy is an awesome drummer, but this is probably the worst Ive ever heard this song played by the actual drummer of the band. Where are all the fills? I get that he uses a different setup than the original actual recording, and obviously the original is going to be the best, but its is not a good version. The ending is hopefully not how he plays it all the time and was maybe a slight mistake. I have listened to this song alone more than Ive listened to most any other metal, as this was my favorite album for many, many years. Again, great drummer, just a poor rendition of this song. Sorry Mr. Widigs!
