Big spells are what commander is all about. We’ve lost that going big sense in recent years, so it’s time to take that back and go big or go home with Vadrik. We just want to sit back, relax and then hit our opponents with some big spells. Let’s take Vadrik for a ride around value town.

Infite combos: electrodominace + reiterate + vadrik @power +3 for infinite casts and damage to any/all targets storm kiln artist + seething anger/haze of rage + vadrik @power +3 for infinite casts and power (and treasures if using haze of rage) edit: typo

Storm kiln artist + Searing Touch + vadrik @power +4 is instant kill for the board. You can also you Runnaway Steam Engine or Birgi, God of Storytelling as well, i usually run all three for a better chance to get one of them, it works really well with a red heavy deck and Vadrik Brainstorm is very strong as well, if you get any of your infinite combos that dont kill everyone, brainstorm will deck everyone. Past in Flames is very strong, giving every instant and sorcery card in your graveyard flashback. Underworld breach as well. Just some ideas! Cheers

actually storm kiln + vadrik + haze is not an infinite. you cast haze, get a treasure, repeat. doesnt make infinite since the spell costs one red and you make one red per time you cast it

A question, when we cast mana cost 10 or higher spell with zaffai on board, did it also trigger the 5 mana cost ability and the scry 1? Thx

I actually much prefer a spellslinger style than the big mana style, but it's interesting to see your take on it.

Not bad! Have you ever considered hand of vecna bc of how much card draw you have with vadrik? Makes combat and second main phase more devastating

I haven't considered this card, I wanted to stay on theme with the big spells. I'm medium on this card because of the life payment for the equip cost.

@@vex_mtg there is a non pay life equip option also and he would get a +1 attack at the beginning of combat for each card in your hand, either give him first strike and trample and K.O someone with commander damage during combat and and the rest of the pod with spells on 2nd main.

You don't have to target X targets with Crackle with power, it says "up to X targets", not "deals x damage to x targets"

I usually don't update my deck list unless I made an error. I would make another deck list if I had updates. It's weird to talk about one list and have a link to not the exact list.
