Would be very nice if a young player like Vaishali could win the Candidates. It's somewhat boring to see the same women play against the World Champ. It will of course not be easy to win the Candidates, it's a long tournament, and you have to stay at the top from start to finish. I'm sure Vaishali and Pragg can support and help each other. I wouldn't be surprised if she becomes the women's world champion of chess in a few years. In my opinion soon she'll be up there with Ju Wenjun and Lei Tingjie soon. (Edit: i forgot to capitalise the initials of the names of Ju and Lei :D)

I dont think itd be crazy. Does anyone invest as much in chess as India does? Seems like they have a ton of $ and a ton of support from their GMs for the youth to succeed.

@@112233JORDANyes india invests nothing in chess . Even tournaments like ts are pvt . The players receive very little to aid . They survive on sponsors which are gov entities sometimes but rarely .

She is the Abasov of the Women's Candidates, just not at the same level as other players. Many other players, e.g. GM Alex Kosteniuk, would be able to show much more exciting chess. The necessary skill to compete at this level is simply not there.
