@@matteogauthier7750 well knight back is actually a good manuever. Whereas back ranking a bishop limits its control of squares and risks it being a glorified pawn
@@cleiru7859 In this case you're clearly right. I'm wondering tho, in a typical middle game, isn't it more common for a bishop to be tucked away on the back rank for later use, as Agadmator says sometimes? Knights might need more time to get back into the game. But it is true that knights are usually great defenders of the king.
Lets be real, if Agadmator asked you to guess which Grandmaster played white, most of you would assume its Tal with that disgustingly crazy self double knight fork lol.
It's rare, but known, most famously in Aronian-Anand 2013 (Tata Steel) "Rubinstein's Homage" with 14..Bc5 15..Nde5. I've informally collected 7 other games of self-fork, and 5 of permitting a pawn fork. That makes it about as rare as Anastasia :) Fischer-Tal 1959 (Bled-Zagreb-Belgrade Candidates) had 12.Nxf5 13.Bd5 from prep, but Tal saw everything and won the endgame. Most spectacular might be Yu Yangyi-Li Shilong 2012 (Chinese Championships) 31.Nxe5 32.Qxc5!! simplifying QRNP for QRBPP, and that 1 extra pawn wins.
Wow. It's amazing that people can even think like that. I don't think that Sethuraman should really feel too bad about not finding the best defensive moves to such a creative attack by Vaishali.
I finally found one of the pause the video moves I believe it was the second one when she took the knight with the dark square Bishop I never get a chance to comment on here cuz I always get them wrong but I finally got one right and I'm so proud of myself cuz I get a chance to comment on the agadmator channel. True story I found the move without even pausing the video and when agadmator said the move I then pause the video and started to write my comment before even finishing the game I was so excited 😂
I'm usually broke, so I keep postponing this $Thanks. But I decided to at least start one 😅. Your presence is greatly appreciated my friend (in the chess world) / I'm glad there's an Agadmator on YT. How's your wife & kid? I know you don't know me, but I feel like I've known you for a longass time 😅 Magic of internet stardom
It is so beautiful to see what can happen within 64 squares and two minds. The difference between amateur players like us and professionals is that we are unable to foresee beyond two moves while these professionals go much beyond that and do them very quickly too!
I played someone like Vaishali last night on lichess. They played King's Indian type moves, all single pawn moves and pieces kept behind a very restricted position for the first 20 moves, by which time I was up 2 pawns and their King was still in the centre. Then by move 30 I was in checkmate. Beware the quiet, defensive players!
@Agadmator, From someone who is a fan of your insistence in pronouncing every names as correctly as possible, Sethuraman is a south Indian name pronounced as “Say-thoohRaa(as in Marcus THURAM the footballer, but please dont elongate the ‘ooh’ sound and Raa is like R+AAHH)-Mun(as in Munroe). SayThuraamun.. Keep up the good work. Cheers
@@nicbentulan Was that second comment really necessary? I mean, was it *really* necessary? *REALLY?* Then again, to a sick and obsessive mind like yours, I suppose it must have felt like it was. Which leads me to conclude: get help. Professional, trained help. You desperately need it.
@@nicbentulan Well, that's good. You should definitely keep doing that. But I can't help but notice you also show extreme levels of Obsession and Fixation. In terms of Chess, this primarily manifests itself in an extreme demonisation of Magnus Carlsen, and an extreme glorification of Wesley So, even going so far as to write lengthy and multiple comments about them when they have nothing to do with either the video/game in question, and/or with the conversation. In other words: those 2 occupy your mind to such an extent that you can't help bringing them up, and either lambasting them or singing their praises (depending on which of the 2 we are talking about, of course), even when there is no external reason whatsoever for doing so. It is only your internal obsession, and nothing else, that drives you to bring them up in conversation. This is worrying from a Mental Health perspective. Which is why I strongly recommend talking with a Psychologist or Psychiatrist about these obsessive fixations. Luckily, it seems you already have one (or maybe even multiple?), meaning it shouldn't be too hard to bring it up in one of your meetings with them.
Because Qxd4. After black defends the knight with either queen or rook, for example ...Qa6, then white plays Qe5+. The only move from here for black is to block the check with the bishop and lose the kight. Every other move is mate in 10 or sth for white. Disclaimer: this is what Engine said, i'm not GM, but the two player will see that if the line gets play OTB
Piece sacrifices, weird moves and of course, the self-fork. If you hadn't put up the images and names of the players, I'd have easily assumed this was another Tal classic.
Today I learned that when a pawn can take your knight, you should move your other knight so it can also be taken by the same pawn. What an amazing move!
2nd Q&A: If Nxf6 taking White's bishop, Na7+ forks Black's rook, forcing a king move or a block w/queen. This results in checkmate in 2 or Black incurs heavy losses giving up their queen or rook or both.
