I’m still hoping you will do a complete starter emtb group test for regular people on a budget that haven’t cycled for some time and just want to ride roads and explore off the highway and start more adventurous off road exploring but want a reliable safe quality bike in affordable money even possibly bike to work in rural areas but with scope to progress to novice trails ie an expensive purchase for some but not half a second hand car
@@pauliepunk_1 There is a ton of Horst link bikes that ride perfect. But that is not the point. SC was convinced they can do better. Now they tell this is just as fine as all the others. The motor does not fit? Dont use it.
Lovely bike by Santa Cruz all the haters complaining about them ditching the split VPP frame design, thats great news for me as 4 bar is far more UK weather friendly, and it looks the nuts, and I bet my house they will sell a tump of these bikes. We are starting to see the full fat merge with the SL category with full fat weights lowering considerably, exciting times for eTMB’ing
just a similar copy of many more, NOTHING special that can make sense for those prices. if you take the base, 8k€, and compare it to the YT Decoy Core3 MX, its literally +3k€ for fking less!! (less battery and less travel) embarassing
@@davefreeman9347To be honest, ebikes are totally different nowadays. Me along with a ton of others were not interested in suoer heavy bad performance bikes other than for communting. The motor and battery tech has improved a massive amount making it possible to make a high performance emtb. When i rode the early models back in 2015 i was bit impressed at all, night and day difference in the last decade
i always wait for a santa with bosch cx Unit, but this bike will not be mine! it Looks like a Cube bike 100% and many other Bands. Im out and i think many Riders will Skip that too
Yesterday merida, today santa cruz, shimano is losing more and more ground, they need to step up with innovations quickly or they are out of the motor market soon
Not sure why everyone is hating the new 4 bar suspension. If you've been around long enough, you would know all santacruz full suspension bikes were single pivot. Bullit, super 8, heckler.....santacruz then went onto vpp which served them well obviously. Nothing wrong with them going to the 4 bar. As far as their pricing, yes they are typically on the hi end but the have the best warranty on the market, you really are paying for your bearing replacement cost up front here people. If you dont like it dont buy it. Their fit and finish is second to none.
I have good old Megatower - what a bike for downhill! Yet this Vala doesn’t impress even my 3 year old Orbea Rise, skip. Maybe Amflow makes any sense for upgrade
Lol if you buy this you have more money than sense, over priced and boring af. Must be difficult trying to talk up these mediocre bikes when the industry has a clear #1 now
This looks to be pitching itself primarily against the Orbea Wild. With the bigger battery, similar spec and better deals on offer, I’d be going Orbea every day.
was to go for the hightower v4 Xo , now debating if i want the v4 electric or not 😂 i was not expecting them to hit us with this much heat 💯 gonna have to try them both side by side .
Why this bike over the AMFLOW or the new Orbea Rise. Both are much lighter and as strong or stronger. 🤔 Seems expensive for a bike with tech from 2022.
I need to demo one. Not liking where the lower link comes together. Get a rock between the triangle and the frame and its game over. Cool though, but who is asking for this? Now a Megatower with this motor would be rad.

Waiting over TWO (2) weeks for Bosch to 'make a decision' on my warranty claim. DU has 4000km and, still supposed to be under warranty. Good service? NOT on the wet coast of Canazuela Oh and the new battery I bought IS now a warranty claim. Lord knows how long that issue will take to remedy Bosch = JUNK
As someone who hasn't even gone full sus yet let alone EMTB I realky like the look of this bike. I'm seriously tempted to get something soon E soon and price depending this looks like a good option. I really like the look of the Amflow bikes too and being a DJI drone fan I'm confident in their backup too even though they are new to this game.
@@davidmaskew go with the amflow 👌 i got the cube action team hybrid 160 and it came with all very good components and 750wh battery at £4500. Amflow looks to be the new bench mark tho 🙂
@@martinallenden1981 yeah, to be honest I don't know enough about the tech on ebikes to know. I'm not big into over spec on my bike. I prefer to know I can afford to fix it if I damage it 😂. Power wise I'm not sure as I've only ever had a go of an Ebike once and I found the lightest assist enough for most things and I'm not very fit. I know Santa Cruz is a desirable brand but I do have a level of budget to stick to and want the most bang for my buck 😂
@@embn it’s a little sad they couldnt squeeze the VPP into the frame but I guess that’s down to the new Bosch 2 mounting position. When it was released yesterday I did think it might actually hinder some manufacturers. Anyway that Vala looks fantastic. I’ve just snapped a Scott patron eride 900 ST so this is definitely on the consideration for replacement list!
I keep wondering when the industry will go to a standard belt drive like my Harley-Davidson. Maybe that day I might make a purchase? I think it would add a lot of reliability and less problems out on the trail if it's durable and built of Kevlar... I know there's a couple bikes with it but I don't understand why all of them aren't adopting this idea, especially when so many chains and cogs are getting torn up by the extra torque on e-bikes..
@@fathertime209 You don't need a drive belt for a C1. It uses an existing drive train that has all of the R&D, supply chain, and compatibility worked out. It would take changing EVERY bike drivetrain over to consider it on anything other than specialty bikes.
@@BHShaman now I'm sure they said the same thing about electric vehicles and I'm driving a Ford lightning that I absolutely love right now! One thing we could count on is change and I hope the bike industry can learn, adapt, and grow for the better.. also, what is a C1? Thanks
