i think this will be forever in peoples minds when they here MDCC but i mean its there fault they could have easily won the National Championship and got alot of people going D1 but no MD thought they need to fight the better team for there life

Being raised about 2hrs north of Valdosta, that's all you would hear about in the 80s & 90s. We went down and play them once, and I mean ONCE. We never went back. I think everyone on our team got hurt. Those guys came out about 100 players deep and all had full grown beards...lol

I’m from Tifton which is a huge rival with the Wildcats. I grew up watching these guys wax the floor with every team they played. The tradition & rivalries down here in south Ga are unlike anywhere else in the world. Friday nights during the fall the whole town shuts down. Literally. Businesses shut the doors. Everyone is at the games. It’s special

If you watch closely, the D defends for a running game. But there are 2 RB + the QB, there is still chance one of them gets some space

From Ohio where HS football is King. Brought back so many memories. In Ohio we do divisions by school size. I believe there are 7 school size divisions. So alot a kids get the thrill of playing in a state championship game. This was a great series and very well done. Totally enjoyed it! Tip of the hat to the NFL Network for this one!

Great seris, narrator ! I'm a huge college fb fan..go WVU , but I really got into this series. It was great watching football bring ppl of different color and back rounds together. Lol funny thing was that after I got about 2 eps into it I started noticing some names that sounded familiar. As I'm a big WVU fan I keep up with all aspects of the schools sports...including recruiting and I see that J. Rodgers and "hopefully" Z. McClain will be playing for us next year ! Go Mountaineers n Go Cats !!!!

This Was A True Documentary About Valdosta Ga Wildcats!! They could have won many championships but they would play players in the right positions!! My Son #6 was on this team since 9th grade and I mean they didn’t do nothing with him to develop him!! Yes I said it, and I had to confront the coach his junior year because they had him playing tight end when they knew and I certainly knew he was a wr naturally!! They refused to play him at wide receiver (win or not) but I was so thankful his senior year coach Pruitt became the offensive coordinator. He knew jr was the top receiver on the team and didn’t compromise for no one!! He wanted to win on offense and he did what he knew would give him the advantage to win!! Thanks Coach Pruitt!!

should be collquitt county in these film games series TV show I know I live in south Ga and played at Camden county.we use to be as good until they moved us up to 6a and now 7a went 55 straight regular season games with out losing.

The perspective is crazy. #4 does not convert on a drive and the play stops they say “the offense stalls” yet when #17 had a drive that goes nowhere they say “his drive did exactly what it had to do and chewed up clock” the dichotomy in how differently each player is treated is so obvious I feel so bad for the far more talented #4.

Nice show. This team did get to play one more game, in Frisco TX at the Dallas Cowboys facility stadium. Check out "2016 Chandler (AZ) vs Valdosta (GA) on youtube to see how they did. Chandler, Arizona is also a very multicultural city and team and they play pretty darn good football too.

This must have been filmed a few years ago. Last year's 6A was Roswell and Grayson, the year before that was Colquitt and Roswell. Valdosta must have been reclassed. In 2003 their last state championship appearance was against Camden County for what was then then a very top heavy 5A Classification.

Mike, last year (and this) Valdosta was 6A. Grayson won 7A last year. Check out "2016 Chandler, AZ vs. Valdosta, GA" to see how this Valdosta team did in their final game of 2016.

i seen that valdosta is 2-5 this season any fans know why the big drop off? too many seniors graduating? I went to a school were they went 4-7 one year then 15-2 with a state championship then 2-8 the following. curious of the situation.

i'm told that's what happens often - a lot of schools aim to get a really good recruiting class for a specific year, then they have to rebuild the next year. kind of like on-off-on-off type stuff, they usually want to have a good class come through every other year (obviously, they want a good class every year, but you know what i mean. put your eggs in one basket one year, rebuild the next, then you're good to go the year after) bishop gorman for instance, i know they weren't doing as well as normal a few years ago, but they were in a rebuilding year, and did very well the next year

Yea it got pretty annoying, but then slowly merge into sad and pathetic. You know he secretly roots for the other teams to win so he can spark up the conversation of how his team would never lose..the qb race thing he was blowing out of proportion too, I looked it up and in the late 80s early 90s they had a black qb 5 consecutive years and whenever one tried out that was good, he'd get the job if he won it

I love football. I played the game, and I do understand the passion it brings out in people.... With that said, I can't possibly be the only one who finds the degree to which some of these folks (excluding players/coaches/parents) invest themselves in the exploits of high school kids... just a little creepy. Seriously... have you ever had a conversation with a teenage boy? It's pretty tough to take them seriously. They're idiots. I know. I was one.
