I'd rather get flowers in the spring/summer from the farmers market. Not only does it support local and small businesses but you know the blooms are fresh too!
I'm from a country where Valentine's Day isn't a big thing. So I'm always a little bit confused about the whole concept. I don't understand why you need a specific day to show love to a person. Valentine's Day gets slowly more celebrated where I live, but my partner and I just ignore it. Although expressing love with puns is awesome and hilarious 😁 But I think this part didn't arrive here yet. I just prefer to show love on random days. I just send last month my best friend some soap I DIYed and but a two page letter in the box expressing how important she is for me and how happy I am about her being part of my life. 😍
My partner and I have never really exchanged gifts on Valentines day, we usually just do cards, but it definitely bewilders me why people buy stuffed teddy bears. How does that show your love to your adult partner?!
In my country there are a group of people who are against valentines day so if they find a couple they beat them up or marry them off. I hope people change.
