Valentino Garavani | Haute Couture Spring Summer 2021 by Pierpaolo Piccioli | Digital Show in High Definition. (Widescreen - Exclusive Video - PFW) Tom Quick - Ice Floe/Eddies/Old Strings/Form
Why would it be any harder to walk in those heels during a pandemic?! They should be paid extra for having their faces painted in such a distracting manner.
I don’t know when people got the idea that if couture isn’t wildly extravagant and unwearable like Galliano’s past Dior collections then it isn’t truly “couture”. This is what these wealthy women want. Real, wearable clothes. A true couture wardrobe. Why spend 100s of thousands of dollars on these clothes if you can’t live your life in them? Yes I agree this collection was a bit understated in contrast to what Pierpaolo has done in the past but I still found it a beautiful and a true reflection of the times. Great work
You know what? WORD! Couture is also exquisite handcraft, delicate work and hours after hours of fabric selection and understanding of wearability and a garment adaptation! Galliano at Dior (to me at least) was a mess.
The camera work is atrocious. Literally all we need is a simple head to toe pan up when the model gets to the end of the runway, I have no idea what most of these clothes actually look like lol
Yes, but the footnotes that accompany the garments allow the viewer to see for themselves and not spell it out for them, like that 'deep decolletage back' at the beginning. I think we're seeing some innovations on the cinematography of the catwalk this season.
Gorgeous.... breathtaking collection. All the designs and all the colors combinations are phenomenal. I love all of this collection. Pierpaolo Piccioli is the best for Valentino, Bravo ❤️
Footwear and gilding aside, one cannot but marvel at the extremely high level of minimalist design punched with vibrant or muted color. The exquisite fabric treatments, flawless construction, modern architectural shapes and proportions... This is a house evolving while maintaining its foundations.
I totally agree with you. PP is evolving and trying to bring haute couture along. I didn't care much for the video though, but I have to say I did watch it on a phone screen, so maybe it is my fault 🙄😁
yeah lol its boring and the designers have been lazy this time. No matter how much sophisticated and proper words you use, it wont change the fact that valentino needs to get creative.
futuristic sumptuosity with plenty nods to classic lines. love love love. i'm not even a valentino fan. this show was in my youtube reco's and i gave it a go. so glad i did. i was hooked from the start, delighted again and again, glued to every look to the finish. even with the ads. this space was made for these clothes. these clothes were made for this space. gilded makeup, shoes, shiny fabrics, sequins... with the surroundings. gold magenta maroon mint peach. literally every look with a cape or jacket removal left me jaw-gaping agog. i'm seeing dior & saint laurent + jil sander. simplicity and glamour. i'm just ... damn. bravissimi, pierpaolo et maison valentino. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
J’adore ce styliste, le meilleur de toutes les marques confondues. Il fait preuve d’une grande créativité et la confection de chaque pièce est de la vraie haute couture. La musique de Massive Attack est excellente .
Loving the pink! Optimistic, cheerful, and perfectly Spring! Love the color palette. 🎨. As we begin to come out of the horrors of COVID -19 a return to cheerful, vibrant, comfortable and relaxed shapes to help us move forward. Beautiful show.
The way the cameras always seem a bit distant and how you’re straining to see the details of the looks is so on point and brings a mood of isolation and loneliness into the runway that is truly of the moment. This was exquisite.
Badly shot sadly. We can only grasp the silhouette and guess some fabric manipulations...no focus on details...like our eyes and perception? A superficial glimpse? Shoes are horrid and a torture: a symbol of our stumbling world situation? Color palette is absolutely stunning.
you know...just by reading your comment it feels like we think things through in a similar way... Edit: "like our eyes and perception?": as if lack of focus on the clothes might be intentional on their part..(am not entirely convinced though)
@@jordd6964 yep agreed not convinced. Stephane Rolland s video style is way more indicative. Its sad as valentino always rocks. The best color combo for years.
Too many jackets that covered up details underneath. Too bad these won’t be worn anywhere-pandemic. The fashion houses must really be seeing hards times.
A Triumph! The perfect harmony of Architecture, Music, Fashion, Faces that contain stories untold. I watch this once a day! The whole construct is the ultimate "Muse". oh!
I don’t think the clothes went with the place. The collection wasn’t terrible, but it was nothing compared to most of Valentino haute couture fashion shows.
The shoes are weapons, the clothes are armour (the pink metallic vest) - a feeling of fight & defence. The colours and setting a sense of opulence (freedom & indulgence) but in the comforting realm of history that gives stability and certainty.
Exquisite collection. Clothes were sensitively designed to reflect the current pandemic & economic situation the World is struggling with. Not over the top extravagant but yet sufficiently luxurious as demanded by Haute Couture sensibilities. Bravo 👏🏻 🙌🏻 🎉💐
A beautiful work I could hardly see.... this is supposed to show the incredible work in haute couture ... not a tour at some palace. I could hardly see the garments because they were so far and so fast to be shown. Could not catch the details and textures... and by the time I had the description the garment was FAR gone.. Far....and with so much interruptions it was disappointing.... I wanted to love it, i couldn’t even see it!
Simple is better, but when you add flare it becomes exquisite. The use of bright and flat colors combined with sequins really gives this collection character.
Why did thhe production not zoom in on the menswear!? Ugh! Those coats and jackets are so beautiful! Clean, comfortable, and wearable. I'd do anything to get my hands on one, especially that tan coat with slits on the side! Someone please donate one to me! Please!
A palace is the best place for this show. Great style, I love their hair. I'm sure royalty that commissioned the creation of this hall would be excited by that glamorous spectacle, if they were around to observe it today.
rly enjoyed this collection the bland colours mixed in with the vibrant colours rly help showcase society and how we're possibly coming back out of the darkness and into the light from the pandemic !
Ok... there were some stunning, modern and clean designs in here that I really wish we could have seen better. Just ethereal, futuristic and minimalist all at once. THEN there's a lot of what I will call 'thrift shop gore' energy, and a few pieces that were so tired and old that someone in design just said "Just throw the world's most expensive glitter on it, pair it with some gloves and let's go home." The Amar, Maty and Mariacarla yellow moment was a joy, along with the cyan/blush wave from Kayako to Topsy, Ibharima gets an HM.
Where have I been? This is a presentation of so much more than clothing it’s a flowing variation of elements sculpture in movement as well as wearable pieces bravo
I do love Valentino. And this collection has beautiful pieces. but it doesnt have to be coture. To me, Maria grazia and Pierre was the best era for Valentino.
I am spellbound by the presentation of this collection. I don't know if Valentino or Pierpaolo Piccioli is behind the platform footwear aesthetic shown here, but it was well executed. Typically a shoe in this height and wedge can come off as a pretentious showpiece, but it's as if the models are being properly molded into living statues of beauty, taking a backseat to the gorgeous couture shown here. Phenomenal and awe-inspiring; fashion is alive and thriving.
@@revati8870 the zombie faces and stare have been there already for long time and at most runway shows. If you aren’t used to it by now, I don’t know what to tell you. It’s not about the models anyway.
Absolutely love that menswear is included into Haute Couture. This is what fashion is about...inclusive, glamorous , strange, diverse, modernized, craftsmen and most importantly...recognizing the artist who create these amazing pieces. Bravo! 👍
I am wondering the same thing. I’m pretty sure it’s the setting for many movie scenes I’ve seen in the past. One that I recall is the first in the series of Resident Evil with Milla Yovovich. They decorate it differently, mainly they take out the art pieces to the sides.
Valentino now makes the best couture show imo. Btw, I loooove the fact that we don't see here lots of "celebrity" models. It is actually the clothes here that are able to shine on their own without external help.
This is how fashion shows should be done ALWAYS just the models in a beautiful place, focusing on the outfits, good camera work without people with phones in their faces with limited space
